Fridays Fave 5

Whoohoo! Look at the new beautiful badge to go with Fridays Fave 5. Tia created it for Susanne…

1. One of my favorites this week is listening to Chris Tomlin’s new Cd called Hello Love. You can see the Cd and words to one of the songs here.

2. One of my favorite meals this week was this Mediterannean Tilapia. Recipe is here.

3. Hearing about cousin get-togethers that are planned for October this year. Two of my nieces from Dear’s side of the family are flying from New York and Los Angeles to spend time with my kids for a cousin reunion in Seattle. Then the 2nd week in October two of my nieces on my side of the family are flying from Los Angeles to Seattle for an Anne of Green Gables Weekend with my girls in Washington. How wonderful is that? It makes my heart glad…

4. Eating breakfast at Allison’s on Saturday after our early morning walk on the beach. Look at the size of those freshly made biscuits! My favorite here is the Mexican Omelette with hot chiles, avocado, tomatoes, cilantro, and cheese. Served with a side of quacamole and beans. Hee, hee, I cut down on calories by ordering the fruit instead of the potatoes. :0) Dear orders the Green Chile Omelette. It comes with a whole green chile on the top and filled with more.

5. Here’s one of my favorite photos from this week. This is from a walk down Main St. in Ventura, California.

So is it just Dear and I or are those door handles taken off a coffin?

To see more Fave 5 or to join in and participate visit Susanne at Living to Tell the Story. I’ll be around later after Bible Study this morning. I’m getting a breakfast casserole ready to take to the study. I’ll be sharing that recipe sometime soon. Have a great Friday and weekend everyone…

  1. WOW, now I’m hungry. 🙂 And yes those handles look like they came off a coffin. Maybe someone went to an Architectural Salvage place and had fun. Cool doors.

  2. This is a post I have found to be one of my favorites to look forward to. Each persons week is varied and pleasant. I like that! 🙂
Have a good weekend…I wonder what this Saturdays breakfast will be?

  3. You had me drooling over that tilapia when you posted the recipe and now you’ve got me double drooling with that and that omelete. Man, those look good.

I love how often your extended family gets together. That is so cool. Not having extended family not from here, we never attend reunions and such.

And I have to say I love the pic of the doors. I love doors. LOL. I never would have thought to think about coffin handles but now that you’ve mentioned it that is exactly what they look like!

  4. I can’t wait for the Anne of Green Gables weekend!!! Wish you could join us though!

Will have to try that tillapia recipe (pizza)!

I am totally cracking up at the coffin handles – but great door!

  5. I love the idea of the Anne of Green Gables weekend!!! That sounds like so much fun. And the door is beautiful – I love that rustic look. The Mexican Omelet sounds heavenly — I might do that for husband this weekend! 🙂

  6. You WOULD have to post a scrumptious breakfast when I’ve not had mine…. 😦 I like the purple flowers around that door. Made me miss the funeral-home-door-handles completely! Happy Friday!

  7. The handles do look like they came off a coffin. Makes a beautiful picture. I’m getting inspired to take my camera out and look at things a little differently. Hope your kids have fun with their cousin get togethers.
    Happy Friday!

  8. One look at your fabulous breakfast made my Wheat Chex and strawberries seem completely insufficient and unexciting. I want that biscuit recipe!

    Love the family pics!

  9. Great favs this week! The Prof and I will have to try Allison’s one of these days!

Those do look like coffin handles! It’s a beautiful day here and I have a tutoring student in Ventura today. I wonder if I can think of something to do…

  10. That tilapia looks SO good! Hubby and I love fish but one of my kids won’t touch it! I was hoping to win that Chris Tomlin cd but if I don’t, I might have to get it on itunes.
    Great door picture!

  11. ok, with a breakfast like that at the end, I guess I could get up the motivation to go walking!!

course, for me, that breakfast would totally negate all that I’d walked teeheehee.

yup, coffin handle doors…actually the doors could be too hahaha.

  12. Yummy…that breakfast looks delish!
And yeah, on the door….sure looks like from a coffin to me…but hey…over on the left coast things are kinda weird sometimes, aren’t they??? LOL (just kiddin’)

  13. Now that Mediterranean Tilapia recipe just makes me feel hungry. I’ve got to check it and see it for my self. The picture of the recipe is very inviting so I can’t wait to try it.
