Bridging the Gap ~ Day 5

The following bridges that I’m posting today are all taken while canoeing on Lake Washington in Seattle, Washington with my daughter Katie in July of this year.

This big bridge is part of the 520 Floating Bridge that spans Lake Washington from Seattle to Bellevue. We ended up canoeing under the bridge to get to smaller waterways off the lake. The floating part of the bridge is closer to the middle of the bridges span.

This smaller wooden footbridge is another bridge we had to canoe under. We ducked for this one :0)

  1. That looks like such a fun thing to do with your daughter. The bridge shots are very appealing, especially the wooden one and I love the shot of your daughter.

  2. ellen, you’re lucky that you could canoe under that one bridge, otherwise you’d have to portage the canoe around the bridge. I’ve had to do that – no fun! Your daughter is lovely! 🙂

  3. I love that first shot – Katie looks so cute! And I love the “layered look” in bridges!

That center bridge looks like you would want to stay AWAY from the CENTER of IT! Especially when rowing under!!!

And the drawbridge is just a pretty scene!

  4. Great shots, Ellen. Each of these bridges is unique and beautiful in it’s own way. A nice little trip through Washington state, haha. Also, your daughter is very pretty and she looks very friendly and happy.

  5. Woofenderful views of all the bridges. Mom said that even if she had a canoe she wouldn’t take me fur a ride in it… cuz I’d turn it upside down and we’d both drown. Bark!
