This week for Vintage Thingies Thursday I’m sharing some of my vintage that happens to be turquoise in color.
These bathroom accessories are from my MIL Verna’s stash. She passed away in 1997 and had lived with us for several years so we got a lot of her stuff by default.
This little lady was hers, too. Verna grew up in the U.S.A. and was a teacher in a one room schoolhouse in Kansas in the late 30’s.

Photobucket is holding all my photos that I posted on my blog from 2007-2015 hostage and replaced them with big black and grey boxes with threats. So discouraging…as I’m slowly trying to clean up thousands of posts!
I like the idea that she was part of your lives and some of her things remain with you. Very pretty figurine.
oooh I love your items – very retro 🙂
Those are so cute! We used to have the matching dishes growing up. Very Googie! Is that how he spelled it?
Those jars are really cool. I’ve never seen anything like them before. And, the lady is pretty.
I love those jars, they are fabulous! That particular shade of blue is my favourite 🙂
The jars are a very pleasing design. I often wonder why we gave up vintage items as out-of-date when their designs were so inventive and well-considered.
i love the containers! they’re beautiful!
Those beautiful jars look very 50’s. I love the figurine, very good condition too.
I love the glass jars. I love, love, love the colors. Very retro. Those are really a great vintage collectable to have.
AWESOME containers! And I love that lady too. Very pretty stuff that goes together well.
I remember someone I knew having those glass jars. I would love to know where in Kansas she taught. I grew up in Central Kansas.
those glass jars are awesome!!
We had glasses with this same design. I think we got them for our wedding in 1958. Brings back old memories.
The picture of me at the beach was taken at Seal Beach I think. It has been a long time ago but i’m pretty sure that is where it was taken.
Those glass jars are lovely – my grandmother kept her guest soaps in one like these and I thought it was so beautiful!
I like the containers. Very cool.
I love the jars! I think I have a piece for the kitchen in the same pattern…or very similar.
The little lady figurine is beautiful, too.
Love those! Those designs are making a comeback.
I enjoyed everything you shared, but I particulary like the cute little figurine. It reminds me of going into my Aunts bedroom. She had cute stuff like that on her dresser.
I love them all – I love that they are something of sentimental value! It’s so nice to see that you cherish these family treasures!!!
Blessings!
Very cool! I love how vintage things are being reclaimed and enjoyed again!
Very retro. My daughter would love it.
What cool jars. I think I covet them. The little figurine is lovely as well. Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you’ll come back often.
I love that you use & display these. How wonderful! 🙂
The jars are fabulous!! I love the designs and colors on them.
