I took a little trip to Country Village in Bothell, Washington last week. There was an abundance of red to photograph here! Here’s what their website says about the village.
Shop, dine and feed
the chickens …
Over 40 shops and restaurants clustered among beautifully landscaped gardens, ponds, wandering paths, picnic and play areas.
Everything from fabulous home decor and original art, to antiques and innovative toys!
You can even find anything you need for Belly Dancing at the Ottoman Trading Co.
My favorite find on my visit was not red at all but predominately blue. Madame Fifi’s Tea Room and Bakery. I had a lovely lunch topped off with some delicious scones.
For more Ruby Tuesday head over to Maryt’s at Work of the Poet.

Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007-2015 hostage on their site and have replaced my photos with black and grey boxes of ugliness. I’m slowly deleting those boxes from my blog and trying to update so many posts, very frustrating.
Nice shots. Looks like a welcoming place.
Fun! I like the way you arranged the photos. Lots of interesting Americana here.
Red is classic in any building of Americana. Witness the red barns, houses etc. prevalent in earlier times. Red fits wonderfully.
Years ago we went to an English style tea house, and was served scones, hot. Thinking about a dollop of cream or jam. Heavenly!
Love this, ellen! I bet it even had a Christmas shop! Happy Ruby Tuesday! 🙂
I love the countryside, and how I wish I can see this place, too! Great shots, the town hall is so beautiful!
HERE is where I posted my Ruby Tuesday photo. Please hop by if you have the time. I will be very appreciated. Thanks!
hmmm . . .
will there be a future post on belly dancing basics?
*grin*

Beautiful red village you’ve gone to. Lots of interesting shops they must have..
Happy Ruby Tuesday!!!
Someday I’ll get there….
“Shop, dine and feed the chickens”. Too funny. I love red buildings.
Perfect against the blue sky. What a dark and rich color red. Well done.
I am here.
Lots of great red. Looks like a fun place to visit too.
Wow! One really sees red in this village:) Good shots.
Oh yes, I think I would like that place. I’ll have to remember this next time I visit my sister in Seattle. Thanks for the tip! Happy Ruby Tuesday.
Huh, there was so much red visuals that it was almost too much. Great! Nice looking gollage.
Looks like my kind of day trip, Ellen! Lots of interesting and beautiful things to explore! I always enjoy your collages so much!
Love all the red, Ellen! What a lot of fun…that Country Village looks like my kind of place too. Reminds me a lot of place in Lancaster, PA, near where I originally from. Thanks for sharing…great to read your recents post–sorry so slow to get here, but better late than never, yes?! ;o) Happy Day ((HUGS)) Oh, stop by if you can–I’m having some gift giveaway fun at my place this week! :o)
That looks like fun trip. Love all the red in the village. Have a great Tuesday!
This makes two collages, I’ve seen today. Very nice. I like the choices you made.
Good morning Ellen,
I think I need to visit Bothel. Do they have any cottages by the sea? It looks like something out of a fairy tale and I love all the red.
Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Looks like a very nice place ! and on top of it I love red !
I love how you put the village entrance first, on its own, and then the collage. Makes for an even greater feeling of taking a tour.
You should e-mail this to the village – you could do their nextr brochure.
This looks like a really interesting place, and with so much red it becomes even more inviting! Nice presentation.
I don’t participate in Ruby Tuesday, but I do enjoy seeing what others share. Your collage is quite red and most interesting.
Hugs and blessings,
Looks like a fun place to visit. Lots of shopping to do!
Great collage of reds.
Love the college and I like to shop. Nice weather too….
Dear Ellen,
I’d love to visit the red- in- abundance place.
Looks like a place where one could relax and enjoy oneself, as opposed to the steel, glass & concrete cities.
You have caught the country atmosphere brilliantly.
