More Thrift Store Treasures

So I’m back in the land of my favorite thrift stores. I found a few treasures already. My sister Lana’s haul was pretty darn good, too! We met at Goodwill on Saturday the 5th for an hour or two…

The first teacup is Chelsea Garden, Royal Grafton, Made in England, $2.99.

The Japanese Garden Scene Teacup just says Japan on the bottom. I liked them because they reminded me of the Japanese Gardens in Seattle. I purchased 5 of them for .49 cents each.

The last sweet tea cup and saucer are Bluebird Fine Bone China, Made in Canada. The tea cup was $.99 and the saucer was $.99.

This cute set of 5 tea cups and saucers are from Japan. I love the design inside each cup, as well as the outside. Each set was $1.48 so $7.40 for the set of 5 before tax! Since we are on a tea theme my last purchase was this Tea Cozy that was made in England for $1.49.

Someday someone will have a fine Estate Sale with all my accumulated “moth and rust will destroy” treasures! Blessings on y’all!

Photobucket is holding all my photos I stored with them from 2007-2015 hostage. They have blacked out all those photos on my blog posts. OH BOTHER! I’m slowly cleaning up my posts.

  1. I love the last set with the pretty interior. I laughed at your last comment, that will be us as well. I have inherited MANY dishes. While I’m not really into antiques I do love the tea cups/saucers and dessert plates.

  2. You should become a professional shopper..great finds!! Each treasure is fine!!
I took a huge pile of things to Goodwill and went back the next week…yep, it’s all there!! I almost bought the books back!! :))
The garage look really nice!! I like the wood floors.
    Good work, men!!

  3. Ellen, I love your finds. I was intrigued by the blue for get me not cup and saucer made in Canada. It is not Royal Albert? I always thought it was. I looked up the link and there must be a very similar pattern that I am thinking of.

It is all very pretty . .. truly we don’t have that kind of thrift store shopping here.

Lovella, It really reminded me of Royal Albert, too. But it definately says Bluebird on the bottom and not Royal Albert. I’m going to have to google Bluebird and see what comes up…

  4. I think I like the Japanese set of 5 the best. Can we go when I’m up there next week? Might be dangerous that I’m coming by myself…

  5. Oh my! What treasures! Why can’t I ever find great china tea cups? Is it because you get there first? 🙂

I haven’t walked much either since getting back. The weather is getting hotter and we’ll be walking at night. You can count all those stairs you’re climbing!

  6. Oh great finds! I never find things like that except in antique shops and so they are much more spendy. I really like the Chelsea Garden tea mug, but then I do love the forget-me-not too. Lucky you!
