I’m in the Seattle area spending 6 weeks at my home here. I took a stroll about the yard to see what was blooming and growing.
We’ve got some wild blackberry blossoms, our apples and pears are maturing, the hydrangea is promising a few blooms, the lavender is in it’s glory and the blueberries are still green but plumping up.
I’m still getting my bearings here in my house. I decided to tackle a few rooms at a time for cleaning and organizing. On Tuesday I deep cleaned the kitchen and dusted the living room. Yesterday I got everything presentable except for my Master Bedroom. We’re having 16 for the 4th and I wanted the main living areas clean. Saturday I’ll tackle my bedroom, it’s on the 3rd floor all by itself so I felt fine leaving it till last and after our company on the 4th. Dear goes back to California on Sunday and then he flies back up to Seattle for the first two weeks in August. I’ll be able to get a lot of weeding in while he’s gone.
A very happy 4th to all you in the U.S.A. and a very happy Friday to my friends in other parts of the world. My flag waving post for the 4th is just below this so scroll on down if you’d like…
Photobucket is holding all my photos I stored with them from 2007-2015 hostage. They have blacked out all those photos on my blog posts. OH BOTHER! I’m slowly cleaning up my posts.
Hi Ellen, your collage is beautiful. I so enjoy seeing what is growing, blooming and producing fruit close by and far away.
This morning after you left your comment, I realized I had two errors. The first is that I forgot to put up my picture that I had taken a few weeks ago to celebrate your 4th of July. . .and the other thing is that I found the reciepts but where is that key?
Anyways, have a wonderful fourth of July!!
Happy 4th Ellen!
Ellen…what a BIG event you are planning. Looking forward to your next post with all the celebration photos we are bound to see.
That is a lot of people! Happy Fourth to you, Ellen!
Look at those darling little blueberries! You’ve got a lot growing in your garden. It’s fun to see the arrival of summer at various stages across the country.
Looks like a little bit of heaven on earth! Happy Fourth to you too, Ellen! Hope you all have a wonderful celebration together. Let freedom ring in heart and home!
Enjoy the 4th, Ellen!
The pictures are marvelous! What a bright garden you must have!
Happy Independence Day Ellen!
Great photos “around your home.”

Hi Ellen B.
It sounds like you’ve been very busy since you’ve been home, but I hope you’ve had some time to relax too. Your garden looks lovely and so green with all the different varieties of plants you have.
I hope you have a great 4th of July and get to spend quality time with your company. Tomorrow you should take the day off and do something that will nourish your spirit.
Oh…you made a comment about my “True Freedom” post. That picture also hangs in the little tiny chapel inside Knott’s Berry Farm. When I was a little girl it was my favorite stop while in the park. I used to just love to sit there and look at the gentleness of His eyes. Such a wonderful Savior we have.
Happy 4th to you and yours too! We’re having friends over for bbq and then going to the high school to watch the fireworks.
I enjoyed your collage of red, white and blue and your story.
Love your yard pictures — the plants all look so glorious!!!
Enjoy the rest of your day!
EXELENTES TUS FOTOS LOVE
Wow. How does it feel like to live with a yard that’s just blooming with life?
