P is for Pioneers
My husband and I were in Texas this last weekend and we were able to stroll through the Dallas Arboretum (more photos from the Arboretum tomorrow) This is a replica of a Texas Pioneer Village at the Dallas Arboretum. Pioneers settled in Texas because of the availability of land. As the poplulation increased they’d add a general store, church, school, etc. to the village.
P is also for Palm Trees…
These were all taken in Southern California in my neighborhood or close by.

Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007-2015 hostage and they have blacked them all out. Iβm slowly working at restoring my posts without their help. Such a tiresome bother!
very interesting and nice photos
My daughter in law is crazy for Palm trees. Every time she visits So. Cal. most of her time is taken with photographing the trees.
Great post for P.
Great choice for P and sa many great photos. Love the shots with the palm trees.
If you enjoyed the Arboretum you should check out the Ft Worth Botanical Gardens next time you are in the Metroplex. Most of the Gardens are free and they are one of the things I miss the most about Ft Worth.
Also, the Log Cabin Village near the Ft Worth zoo is a nice living history exhibit.
Wonderful and very lovely collection of P’s! Fantastic job you have done:)
Have fun:)
How convenient for you that the pioneers came to Texas just so you could create a great P post!! Seriously, fun photos. And great variety of palm trees.
This is what I love about ABC Wednesday…………knowledge, history and art………all through photographs,

We have palm trees here in Vancouver, you know! Everyone is always awed when they hear that. Glad you enjoyed your “pioneer village” time. π

Nice to see so many palmtrees! We donΒ΄t have these in Sweden . Nice post today. And a whole village with piooneers? ! Wow!
I love to see the Pioneers but the Palms makes me think of the beach which I would love to be at right now.
Palm trees are amazing to my Ontario eyes! I’ve visited relatives in Phoenix a number of time and can just never see enough palm trees. What’s their magic? I haven’t a clue, but they draw take me into their spell.
Those are two great collages of Ps. You are really getting around.
This is so funny–I actually recognize some of those palm trees! They are really good photos, too π
Awesome P’s. Your pictures are great. I love how you did this post.
Wonderful collages! Great “P” post.
I love the little cabin middle right.

The land looks quite dry and dusty and the trees are very tall.
I would have been a dreadful pioneer. I can’t go anyway that doesn’t have a proper toilet!
Very nice palm tree montage! thanks for sharing.
