Truth for Today #91

Thursday March 7th

On Thursdays my posts will include verses that stood out in my readings from the Bible during week. One, two, three or maybe more. Isaiah 66:1-2 (NIV)

This is what the Lord says: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be? Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?” declares the Lord. “This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word.”

Thoughtful Thursday ~ The Door

John 10:9 (ESV)

“I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.”

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and eat with him. and he with me.”

Yesterday was Ash Wednesday and we have entered into the season of Lent. Are you doing anything to observe Lent for the days leading up to Easter?

Lent can be a time to open the doors of our hearts (eyes of our heart) a little wider and understand our Lord a little deeper.
