Candlelit Dinner

It was fun to set this table and a lot more fun to enjoy most of our family around it for a belated birthday dinner. I wanted it sparkly. After I lit all the candles Addy and JJ wanted the other lights off so we could just have the candles give us light. We had a wonderful candlelit dinner.

Monday got away from me because of some further work Greg and our son had to do on our Water Heater. They had to empty the water tank and replace the elements which were in horrible shape. New ones are in so we should be good for a few years or at least we hope for that. Our grands were here during the work on the tank and they kept me very busy. Hoping for a quiet day today so I can catch up!

Hope your week has started well.

Tablescape Thursday ~ Sparkly Spring

It’s time for more Tablescapes from around the Bloggy World. Susan at Between Naps on the Porch is our hostess for this weekly event. This week I’m putting together some Garage sale  and Thrift store finds to create a sparkly table.

I got the 7 crystal looking tea light holders for $1.00. The silver candle holders with hanging crystals were $5.00 for both.

The Cake plate was purchased at the Thrift store for $5.00 because the base was separated from the Plate. Dear fixed it for me.

The plates are from HomeGoods at $2.00 each. The glasses are from Goodwill.

I love these little silver teapot napkin rings. I have 7 of them and I forgot what I paid at Goodwill. The vintage handkerchiefs that I layered with the napkins were $2.00 each.

To see more Tablescapes or to join in visit Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. As usual my Thursday post is up on Wednesday so don’t click till later or tomorrow. Are you confused yet?  I hope not. Have a wonderful evening and fabulous Thursday (tomorrow)…

Photobucket is holding all my photos I stored with them from 2007-2015 hostage unless I pay them a lot of money. I’m slowly cleaning up many posts from this time period and deleting their ugly grey and black boxes with a ransom request. Such a time consuming bother.

Sepia Scenes

A new meme is starting today at Work of the Poet called Sepia Scenes. The Meme is actually a Thursday Meme but the Mr. Linky will go up at 5:00 P.M. Eastern time on Wednesday.  So if you’d like to play with some of your photography and see how some shots will look in Sepia join on in…

This is a heavy candle holder I have in my home in Washington State. It is Black and the candles in it are gold. My first published sepia experiment.

To see more Sepia Scenes visit Mary at Sepia Scenes.

Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007-2015 hostage demanding a ransom that I can’t afford. So frustrating as I try to clean up my posts and delete their ugly squares of black and grey off my blog posts!
