We had quite the thunderstorm roll in last evening, a heavy downpour. We hope the lightning was not an issue anywhere. It was so good to hear the patter of the rain, though. We hope it washes away the smoke filled skies and especially that it aides in fire containment.
I’ll add a photo during the day tomorrow to see how our skies look.
Thank you, Lord, for the rain!
These next photos are from 6:30 am on the 13th of August.

The atmosphere has improved. Can you see our morning visitor enjoying the berries off our Aronia Bush?

Hopefully our storm that lasted for several hours through the night and into the wee hours of the morning did good even though the lightning put on quite the show!
We are so thankful for this good soaking!
I am happy you finally got your rain for all the right reasons. Liquid sunshine at its best. Praying it helps with those fires. Happy Thursday to you Ellen!
…we receive a much needed inch of yesterday!
Hi Ellen! My sister and niece are finally back in their homes. I can’t imagine all the smoke you are dealing with. Yes, thank you, Lord for rain! xo
That is good news! Blessings…
Yay! I’m so glad you got some rain!
Hello,
The rain is welcome, I hope it helped with the wildfires.
Take care, enjoy your day!
Could you send some rain our way?!!!
Glad you got that much needed rain. We’ve had quite a few thunderstorms come around our neck of the woods. I did see the deer!
Glad you got some rain. We could use some rain here.
What a blessing to finally see that much-needed rain, Ellen! After everything you’ve been experiencing with the smoke-filled skies and wildfires, I can imagine how wonderful it must have been to hear that rain coming down through the night. There really is something incredibly comforting about the sound of rain, especially when you know it is doing something good.
And I love that you spotted your little morning visitor enjoying the berries! Even in the middle of all the worry about the fires and smoke, God still gives us those little moments of beauty to notice.
Thank You, Lord, for the rain indeed! I pray it continues to help with the fire containment and brings clearer skies and some much-needed relief. Blessings, my friend. 😀
