Date Nut Loaf

If you click here you will find the recipe that I used for this Date Nut Loaf.

I made 2 loaves for our Bible Study Group. I had that container of dates and it is what inspired me to make these loaves. I used walnuts in the recipe, not pecans.

Greg gave the recipe a thumbs up.

  1. The date bread was delicious! Thanks for sending a few extra slices home with me. They were quickly eaten and appreciated.

  2. Oh Ellen, those loaves look delicious. I love making/eating loaves.

Thank you to you ladies for continuing to post your recipes. Many of the recipes seem new to me because I was in a different stage of life when they were first posted.

I am wondering if you ladies still get together from time to time. How your families are doing (you give regular updates but the other group members don’t).

I often wonder about Marg’s daughter whose husband was so tragically killed several years ago.

    • Hello Sharon, Thank you for your comment and your appreciation. The MGCC girls get together whenever we can which is less often these years. We try to get together at least once a year. Although the B.C. girls have many more opportunities to meet up more. Several of the husbands of the girls have retired which has afforded more travel opportunities. The families of the girls are growing into marriage and even great grandchildren. Sports, graduations, weddings are all taking up time for all. Marg’s daughter and grandson are doing well living in Canada. Marg has lots of opportunities to spend with this grandson.
Hope all is well with you, Sharon!
