Will winter linger, or Spring prevail? When I wake up and hear the prediction, I’ll add it here.
Update: Looks like Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow so 6 more weeks of Winter.Β
I’m chuckling because my calendar already tells me that the first day of spring comes in the 6th week from now!
Happy February everyone!
Here is what things looked like on our travel to church on Sunday, the first of February.

As you can see it has been pretty dreary and our mountains are hidden.
These shots are out our slider to the back acres.

It seems all our snow moved east for now!

Soon this dreary landscape will be transformed again to all the joy that Spring has to offer.
We made some adjustments to our family room furniture arrangement and moved around some lamps and wall-art. So far we are enjoying the new minor changes. It will be fun to see what our grandkids think about the changes when they are here this afternoon. I’ll try and remember to take a photo of them in the midst to share.

Love that large bird feeder, I bet you get lots of visitors. All very grey here. Bring on spring π¦B x
Our drive home from church yesterday was a bit hazy in the distance…or so we first thought and then realized it was the wind blowing snow! π
I really like the bird feeder. I love its shape.
I’ll look forward to a picture of the grands in the newly arranged family room. I’m sure they will tell you what they think of it. π
…Ellen, spring always comes and it’s worth the wait.
Happy February Ellen! I am looking forward to spring. Cute Junco photo.
Take care, have a great day and happy week ahead.
Your bird feeder may be the biggest one I’ve ever seen! I love it!! I can’t wait for you to tell us what the grandkids say about the rearranged room!
Spring will be here soon no matter what the groundhogs do. The landscape does look a bit dreary these days, but underneath, life is stirring. That’s a comforting thought for me. Have a wonderful week, Ellen.
Oh I can’t wait for the transformation of your landscape! π Hope you are staying warm!
Goodness those mountains were definitely hidden! Glad you were able to get out and to meet in person, though. I was so happy we did as well! I love your birdfeeder. We need a nice (pretty!) large one like that….seems all we do is refill the feeder here lately!
That’s funny about Spring starting in 6 weeks. Wow, that is really foggy and you certainly can’t see the mountains at all. Good for you rearranging the furniture and liking it! Have a good week.
Love the early morning, moody fog! You soon will have every bird in the nation visiting at that feeder!
Happy February! I saw the groundhog predicted another 6 weeks of winter, lol… and as you said, the calendar is probably quite correct. We have lost a lot of the snow we had, which wasn’t much, and the gray fog lingers. I would love to see the sun again soon! The rearranged furniture sounds fun! I’m sure the grandkids will have something to say about it! Blessings!
I didn’t need the groundhog to tell me we’d have 6 more weeks of winter!! π I hope that is ALL we have. π
Winter is beautiful . . . and yet, the gray (or white) begins to get tiresome after a while. Six more weeks until spring? We can make it! I think making a few changes inside is a great way to cheer things up!
Love that little groundhog. Spring will be here before we know it. A very nice series of photos, thanks Ellen!
