Woody Came to Visit

Our birdfeeders attracted this Northern Flicker and he tried his best to twist his body to get some seed.

We had more snow over the weekend and now we are having rain. On Saturday we realized our hot water tank was not heating our water anymore so parts have been ordered to fix that problem. Until the parts come and the non working parts are swapped out we are in camping mode. Thankfully we have a quiet week ahead.

  5. The Flicker is beautiful! He was certainly hard at it trying to get those seeds, wasn’t he? I’m so sorry to hear about the hot water heater. Camping mode can be fun for a day or two…

  9. What beautiful photos! We had an owl in our yard yesterday which was a bit unusual. We cannot have a bird feeder (other than hummingbirds and the bluebird house) because of the bear. We do get a lot of water birds though-kingfisher, heron, and then lots of hawks which I am fascinated by. Enjoy your week! Hope that part comes quickly!
