I Know Whom I Have Believed
I know not why God’s wondrous grace
To me He hath made known,
Nor why, unworthy, Christ in love
Redeemed me for His own.
Refrain
But I know whom I have believèd,
And am persuaded that He is able
To keep that which I’ve committed
Unto Him against that day.
I know not how this saving faith
To me He did impart,
Nor how believing in His Word
Wrought peace within my heart.
Refrain
I know not how the Spirit moves,
Convincing us of sin,
Revealing Jesus through the Word,
Creating faith in Him.
Refrain
I know not what of good or ill
May be reserved for me,
Of weary ways or golden days,
Before His face I see.
Refrain
I know not when my Lord may come,
At night or noonday fair,
Nor if I walk the vale with Him,
Or meet Him in the air.
Refrain

…enjoy this, the last Sunday of August!
One of the greats and one we sing often at church.
This is one of my favorite hymns, Ellen, I know, I say that a lot about hymns.~smile, Actually I love them all, especially when they use scripture verses that I have memorized.
I read some of your previous posts and enjoyed them so much, the Blue door is beautiful, your thoughts on what happened this past week touched my heart, as we are heart broken too! Our prayer list is always growing!
My,how those grandchildren are really growing, I know and can relate of the enjoyment you and your dh have making wonderful memories with them.
Thank you for visiting and for your sweet comment.
Blessings,
Sue
