We traveled some new roads this week and found some spots we want to explore more along highway 17 in Washington State between Coulee City and Soap Lake. Along highway 17 there are several lakes and deep gorges that look a little Grand Canyon-isk.
It was fun to see the pops of yellow from these wildflowers
We stopped at the entrance to this park at Sun Lakes. We are interested in seeing the Dry Lakes area and Lake Lenore Caves in the future.
The state of Washington has such an amazing variety of landscapes to enjoy.
We are enjoying a little break from our everyday routines. Hope all is well in your corner.
Happy Friday!
Hello,
Pretty views from your road trip! I have loved all the parts of Washington state I have visited.
Take care, have a happy day and a great weekend!
…a little bit of heaven.
Check out Palouse Falls south of you, amazing geography in the area. Also Steptoe Butte State Park well worth the visit, we picnicked on top of the Butte.
Dorothy, thank you for these suggestions!
Beautiful! I love road trips and taking pictures. Thanks for sharing yours.
It’s good to step away from routine, see some new sights, and spend time together! Have fun!
Isn’t it fun to see what new roads reveal?
Yes!
