He’s Still Smiling…

Poor Ami!!

Ami our Amish snowman has fallen. The combination from the weight of the fresh snow that fell and then the rain and warmer days was too much for him. His nose is broken but he’s still smiling.  We do love his attitude.

We have very icy conditions with the snow melt during the day and then freezing overnight. If I was 12 and had Ice Skates I’d give ice skating a try!

Here was the view on our way to church on Sunday morning.

Besides putting away the Christmas decor until next year things have been slow and lazy around here. There has been some puzzle progress. How are things in your neck of the woods?

  1. Hello,
    It is cute Ami the snowman is still smiling. It is true when they says smiles are contagious! Pretty view!
    Take care, have a happy new week!

  2. I love it that Ami is still smiling even after his fall. I had a fall on the 19th of Dec. spraining my wrist, and am doing my best to keep smiling, it could have been a lot worse. While I am healing, God is drawing me closer to him, teaching me more patience and to keep trusting in him. I want to rejoice and be thankful in all circumstances. With Jesus I can do all things, He is my strength when I am weak. Seeing Ami’s smile, made me smile. Thanks for sharing. Have a blessed 2021. ~ FlowerLady

  3. Hi Ellen! Yep, the Christmas-y stuff has returned to the basement, but all the lights are still in the windows and on the mantle and here and there. Candles. Warm, cozy throws.

    And DEFINITELY jigsaw puzzles!

    ;-}

  4. Ami has the right idea and is taking a long winter’s nap! We had some snowfall on and off in the past few weeks but it is so dry here that it is fading fast and we could use a good deep snow to cover the ground again.

  5. Aw Ami – keep smiling! It’s kind of lazy and slow over here too today. Working on my 2020 Block of the Month quilt and the farmer is watching the junior hockey playoffs. USA just won against Finland! Enjoy your “slow” days – we all need some like that!

  6. Good for Ami!! He is showing us how to face our troubles and trials in this old world! A great way to begin the New year, with a smile on our face even though we may be a bit “broken”…God is still on the throne and He will not let us down. All my snowmen are the unmelting kind. Here in Florida that’s the only kind to have or they would melt before you could even get them put together! But if you looked at my post yesterday, you’d see I have quite a few snowmen still sticking around. I just can’t quite put them away yet. It’s still winter, after all! Happy New Year!!
