…and with grandchildren, all is bright!
Here is Addy pleased that she’s earned another badge from Awana. Are you familiar with Awana?
With an unwavering commitment to the gospel, Awana is being used to reach over 4 million kids every week in 120 countries, giving children and youth from every background an opportunity to know, love and serve Jesus for a lifetime.
Our DIL messaged the fam these photos of Addy who earned a new badge at Awana and then Addy and JJ enjoying the great outdoors. All our past snow has melted and we have more snow in the forecast for Friday, Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday. That forecast shows sunny days on Saturday and Monday. Time will tell if the forecast is correct.
On Wednesday I was able to take our Christmas cards to the post office and send them off. Two other packages were mailed off for two babies that will be born to our extended family early next year.
Dear has made some progress on the shop with all the trims around the overhead garage doors and man door. Our local son will come over on Saturday to make some more progress on the siding.
Since this photo was taken the wrap is up in this front end of the shop, all ready for the siding now!
Soon I’ll wrap presents. This past Tuesday when Addy and JJ came for a short visit Addy asked, “Baba, do you have a present for me under the tree?” I said, “no, but there will be presents for you under that tree soon.”
I hope all is calm and all is bright at your home!
MY WIFE attended AWANA in her younger years! good program!

More lovely photos of your grandchildren. Hope you are still able to get about with all that snow forecasted. B x
Hello,
Your grandchildren are so cute. Congrats to Addy on her new Awana badge.
Take care, have a happy weekend!
…life is rarely calm with kids!
Haha…true, Tom, but it is brighter with them!
You’re making Addy a little nervous. 🙂 They are such adorable grands and I am sure that they help in making every day feel like Christmas.
So awesome that Addy is excelling in Awana – she is so cute! JJ looks so proud to be on that rock pile. I need to get at wrapping this weekend too. Stay safe …
At least you can get the cars out of the weather.
We don’t have Awana at our church but something called MasterClub which is the same idea. They work on badges too. Congrats to Addy on her newest badge.
JJ and Addy are adorable and I’ve heard of Awana but didn’t know much about it. Thanks for sharing.
Your grands are really growing, Ellen. Your husband’s shop is huge. What a big project you have shared along the way.
Adorable Grands! Made me smile!
Those grands are certainly bright! Congratulations to Addy on earning another badge! We can do no better than to hide God’s Word in our hearts!
I have put a dent in my wrapping . . . but cards have become a huge mountain for me to climb this year. Because I have done very little in person shopping (and because I am extremely choosy about my cards), I have yet to buy any, let alone write them out, address, and mail them. Yikes!
I hope you can find the right cards…soon! We have a glitter free mindset so I have to search through the cards to find those without any glitter and sometimes they are few and far between…
It looks like all is calm and there is much to look forward to as this season continues. You have beautiful grandchildren.
Yes, I know about Awana, from decades back when my son was little. Also the Pioneer Club. Have you heard of it?
Yes, Arti, my sister was a Pioneer Club teacher for a while.
