We enjoyed a belated birthday dinner and overnight in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on Wednesday September 30th. We strolled along Sherman Ave. before our dinner reservation at 4:00.
Our kids gifted us a certificate to eat at Tony’s on the Lake, an Italian restaurant across from Lake Coeur d’Alene.
Filet for Dear and Osso Buco for me and it was oh so good.
We stayed the night at Blackwell Hotel, An old grand house turned into a Boutique Hotel. It is right on Sherman Ave. It has all the creaks and wood banisters to prove it’s old.
When we checked out of this hotel we headed north just a bit to stay in an RV park that my brother’s family rolled into on October 1st. We spent the night and then all of us headed to our country bungalow on Friday. More tales to come.
Hello,
Looks like a wonderful celebration and a beautiful hotel. I love the moose. Your food looks yummy too.
Take care, enjoy your day! Have a happy weekend!
Thank you, Eileen.
Fabulous! I love the way your husband smiles at you across the table.
…better late than never!
Yippee yippee so glad you are all going to be together
Such a lovely get-away. Don’t you love those special treat gift cards! Favourite sign and store, Ladies Hardware store.
Meals look delicious and the hotel is gorgeous! Have fun!
Ellen – what a special way to spend a birthday, belated or not! Isn’t nice to get out and do some “normal” things!? Love the look of it all, from the food to the boutique hotel to the “ladies’ hardware store”!
So much fun to have a getaway like this! That looks like a fun place to visit on one of our trips West!
How lovely to enjoy that birthday dinner and getaway!! It’s never too late to celebrate a birthday! Enjoy your time together with your family!
Happy Birthday to your Dear! I love the looks of that hotel!
I just love Sherman Ave, it is such fun to walk and see the sights, especially the moose sightings too! I’ve never stayed at the Blackwell Hotel, but it looks like such a wonderfully charming place to stay at! Glad you both had such a wonderful time celebrating together, and the food just looked scrumptious!
