We are in the last three days of our August Bible Verse Challenge. Today is August 29th and the word is Fear. There are a fair share of fear and fear nots in the Bible. Hope you aren’t being fearful these days.
Psalm 111:10 (ESV)
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!
From my sister Vera:
“Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’”
Isaiah 41:10 NASB
From Paul:
“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me” (Ps 23:4)
From Maristella:
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”
1 John 4:18 | NIV
From Patsystitch:
Psalm 34:4-5. I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.
Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed..
From Happy One Two Verses Today:
If you have a verse to share please do in the comments and I’ll add it here. Thank you.
We are working on a better understanding of what the fear of the Lord should look like in our lives.
Here’s a project Dear worked on over a week ago.
He cleaned off the deck, fixed some paint that was peeling off of the back side of the house by scraping the peeling paint, primed the sections, repainted the sections, painted the surface of the deck and then put a bead of caulking between the deck and the house so that water would run off instead of collect. Last thing was adding the carpet runner (which is a huge help in all weather). He still needs to paint the stairs. A nice bonus in this project was that the paint was left here by the previous owners.
New carpet runner down. Now all he needs to do to finish the 2020 deck project is to paint the stairs.
Hello, Ellen
Your deck is looking beautiful. Your hubby did a great job. I love the cute dog too. Take care, enjoy your weekend!
Thank you Eileen. Happy weekend to you!
…nice to have a handy man, I wish that we did.
Yes! I’m glad we have one. 🙂
“Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’”
Isaiah 41:10 NASB
Thank you, Vera! Love this assurance!
A slightly different angle: “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me” (Ps 23:4)…apologies I missed yesterday! Hope you’re both doing well. Great pictures!
Thank you, Paul. I like this angle…
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”
1 John 4:18 | NIV
What a beautiful deck! Great job!Hugs and blessings!
Thank you Maristella. The truth in the Bible is so reassuring! Blessings on you, too.
Psalm 34:4-5. I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.
Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed..
This has been a great experience and learning scripture search. Thank you.
Wonderful verses! Thank you for participating. It has been a good experience for sure.
The deck looks great! Those stairs will be short work. I have deck painting on my mind and have had all summer. Your hubby gets a lot done. I’m hoping that cooler autumn weather will be the ticket here.
Vee
P.S. I have been blessed to read the Scripture verses. Unless one came to mind, I didn’t go looking. Usually, the one that came to mind was covered as it was today with Maristella’s.
Vee, yes it will be short and then all we have to do is remember not to walk down them before they dry!
Lots of good fear verses to share.
Nice deck – looks a lot like ours! We don’t have those nice steps though!
Beautiful deck! I’m amazed at the continual projects your dear takes on!
