Day Four ~ Love

Continuing with the August challenge to post a  Bible verse or section of scripture with a word prompt. Today the 4th of August is Love.

Romans 12: 9-10 (ESV): “Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.”

Feel free to share a Bible verse on love in the comments or on your blog. If you post a verse on your blog please let me know. Tomorrow’s prompt is Jesus.

Happy One at Life is Good posted verses on the theme of Love.

There are also some verses in the comments.

On Saturday morning I harvested our garlic and hung it to dry in our laundry room. I mentioned on Facebook that our laundry room was smelling like a good Chinese restaurant. This is the first time ever I have seen or harvested garlic growing. It was a fun experience for me.

About Ellen am a wife, mother, baba (grandmother) and a loyal friend. Jesus is my King and my hope is in my future with Him.

  1. “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” I John 4:10

I can imagine that smell right now . . .

  2. A good Bible verse about love.
It was hard for me to pick one for this. So many good ones. I’ll be posting mine later this evening!

  3. John 3:16 For God so LOVED the world, as to give his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him , May not perish, but may have life everlasting…..

  4. You have a nice harvest of garlic there. Should keep you going for the year, right? I like your Scripture challenge. Just learned of it at Life is Good. Obviously, I am behind on my visits.

Behold what manner of love The Father has given unto us… 1John 3: 1
