Some of our Canadian friends can still cross the border without any issues. Here’s hoping our border to the North can open again soon.
Colossians 3:1-4 ~ “If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”
Mother’s Day has been lovely already and we have one more small gathering to enjoy. Our children all have honored me more than I deserve and it was good to see two thirds of them in person. Our two sons made breakfast for us. Tonight we’ll have dinner together with Jamie’s family. Our gathering will be under 10 people.
Hope you who are mothers had some lovely greetings today.
…I wouldn’t count on it, our Canadian neighbors are smarter than we are. They don’t want any visitors at this moment!
That sounds like a wonderful gathering!
We took the kids over to wave at grandma from the yard today. 😂
I see and hear them all the time here—going north and south I just watch instead of take a picture.
Happy Mother’s day to you

So glad you were able to celebrate with family and be spoiled today Ellen! You deserve it. We are still isolating over here but it’s been a good day with flowers and a beautiful card delivered by some special angels. Huge hugs …
Hello Ellen,
Great capture of the geese flying over. I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day! Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week!
We have zero hope of a border opening here. Not sure that we’d trust one. Too many of us have been trapped or nearly trapped on the wrong side of the border in emergency situations. The last close call was September 11, 2001. My mother spent six months with her Canadian grandparents one year (1939?) while her parents were frantically trying to get her back. My sis says that they’re waiting to see how it all shakes out.
It is fun to see Canada Geese flying over without a concern for such things.
Love,
Vee
Vee, thanks for sharing that bit of history about your mother in 1939.
We have many resident geese, as you may recall, on the golf course. Also, right now, the mallards have taken up residence in the swimming pools.
