…from the clouds and from my eyes.

30 years in Bothell/Kenmore. So many memories as we say our goodbye. This iconic sign used to be in another location and our family took a photo by it years ago before marriages and grandchildren. I’m going to track down that photo once we are unpacked to show the before and after. This week has been an emotional week for me. Tears come unexpectedly. We left early Sunday morning for good to Colville. More of our journey and new adventures coming soon. Thank you, thank you to all of my praying bloggy friends for upholding us in this new journey. I thank God for you!

  1. Change can be hard … but it seems this change will bring mostly good – I’d like to think you’ve done the hardest part! Will keep you in our prayers!

  2. Prayers for you and yours. Be kind to yourself. Talk about mixed emotions. I can well imagine you are excited and happy to begin life, in a new place with your family to the east. But sad to say goodbye to others. I know a bit of what that’s like.

Not to mention, perhaps you’re moving away from good Mexican food?? Yikes!

    Looking forward to your updates.

  3. Moving away from somewhere you have lived and loved for so long would be hard.

May you feel God’s peace and strength as you settle into your new home, make new friends and enjoy living in a new area.

  4. May the Lord continue to guide your steps. So exciting yet so bittersweet. Love you dearly and look forward to being able to visit. Vera

  5. Oh, Ellen, I do understand how those tears can come unexpectedly. Just reading your post and viewing the picture brought tears to my eyes as I instantly remembered the morning that we moved from our home of 22 years where we’d raised our family to move back to the area where I grew up to help care for our parents. There are many new adventures awaiting you…especially with seeing that Addy running to you all smiles. But the memories (and the tears) from where you’ve lived for so long will bring tears…and that’s okay. You are a blessing!

  6. I continue to hold you in my prayers. Things will not be easy at first, things will be different, just look at that baby girl and you’ll know you made the right decision.

  7. Oh dear Ellen. It is so traumatic to make a huge move like yours – I can only imagine!!! One day it is going to come around here as well. I just know the Lord has some wonderful times planned for your future in your new home and community. What a blessing you will be for Coleville! There will be tears of joy in your future too. Huge hugs dear friend!

  8. Oh, such a bittersweet time! New adventures and wonderful memories are yet to be! Sending hugs and prayers for your new journey. xo Karen
