1. What’s a word that describes your life? A word you wish described your life?
Centered is a word that describes my life and only because my center is Jesus. This doesn’t mean that life is not chaotic at times or sad or underwhelming but I’ve known since junior high who holds my life together.
Right now I’m waiting for my life to be more settled.
2. Back in my day we___________________________________?
There is so much I could say here, but… Back in my day we didn’t have hand held hairdryers, computers, cell phones, facebook, instagram, blogs.
3. When it comes to takeout are you more likely to opt for Italian, Mexican, or Chinese food? Does a typical week at your house include takeout?
Most regularly if we think about takeout it’s Chinese food. Delivery food is pizza. Typically we go out at least once a week for Mexican.
4. Think about the people you most respect. What is it about them that earned your respect?
Consistency and integrity. Living the life they proclaim. I appreciate loyalty, too.
5. What’s something your friends might see and say is ‘so you’?
Being straightforward and honest. Some might call it blunt. I think they could say I’m more apt to encourage instead of discourage.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
We just spent 4 days in Colville celebrating our 1 year old granddaughter. This is our goodbye shot, but soon we will be living in the same city with fewer goodbyes. Crazy and good!
Not so random but the next couple months are going to be filled with staging, selling, buying, packing, goodbyes, unpacking and wondering what where and how it will all come together. I do know that soon I’ll be sitting and seeing new views and meeting new people and moving forward centered in Jesus now and forever.
I’ll be linking up to Wednesday Hodgepodge From This Side of the Pond.
…you began and ended with beautiful photos, thanks!
Wow! How exciting 😀
Wonderful photos… And your hair is looking great!
I love your photos…and your little grandest girl….xo
Hello, great answers. I love the last photo of your, hubby and Addy. I hope your move goes smoothly. It will be wonderful to be closer to your granddaughter and family. Enjoy your day!
I knew there was a reason I “connected” with you so easily. Your answers for numbers four and five are just as if I had been the one writing and answering the questions. I know how excited you must be to be moving to the same town as Addy. A smooth transition is what I’m praying for. 🙂
Good luck with the selling/staging process. It’s not for sissies. But it looks like it’s well worth it seeing that beautiful granddaughter of yours. Enjoy your weekend.
How exciting you’ll have your little one nearby! Best of luck with the whole move process. It’s no fun, but before long you’ll be in your new home with your granddaughter on your lap : ) Happy Easter!
Love the family pic! It is so exciting that you’re moving and will be closer to the family. That’s just wonderful! I think we respect the same things in people. Have a blessed Easter.
I like your number one answer and that is true for me too.
‘Centred in Jesus, now and forever.’ I love that Ellen!!
Exciting to know you will soon be closer to sweet Addy!
Great hodgepodge, Ellen . . . beginning and ending with “centered in Jesus”! I am sure that you’re looking forward to fewer good-byes. That thought will make all of the hard work in getting there so worth it!
Love your answer for #1.
“Being straightforward and honest. Some might call it blunt” is soooo me too! Loved reading your answers and hope you stay calm in the busy days ahead! Happy Easter!
I love this post and learning more about you, Ellen. I’ll keep you all in my prayers in this busy time of packing and moving. What a blessing it will be to be closer to your family.
I am praying that all aspects of your move go smoothly … keeping the end objective in mind (Addy!!!) will certainly help. I love Chinese food … we haven’t had it for a while, so I will have to rectify that! Enjoy this very special weekend!
Thank you for your prayers, Angie!
I am excited for your move Ellen — I know you will be so happy. I wouldn’t have missed watching our grandchildren grow up for the world. (Most of blog-land probably thinks we’ve always traveled, but we did not start that chapter of our life until our grandchildren were way older than yours …. the oldest two were in high school — and until then we lived in the same town they did.) Precious memories and I’m happy that you two and Addy (and her parents) will be building even more of them than you have so far!
I so appreciate hearing your thoughts here, Sallie. Thank you so much for all your encouragement!
