…because of the glorious sunshine!
Dear and I headed out in the sunshine for a walk on the Burke Gilman Trail. This trail runs along Lake Washington.
The seagulls and ducks were excited because someone had thrown some bread on the end of the dock.
This bird is not a seagull or a duck and a lot larger. Couldn’t identify what it is. It didn’t have a white head like a bald eagle.
We walked off the trail to check out this small preserve.
I believe Lake Washington is the 2nd largest lake in the state of Washington.
It was windy enough to make waves on the lake.
Our walk and this day was just ducky! Everyone we encountered was smiling and expressing jubilation over the wonderful sunshine.
Hope your week has been just ducky, too.
I work on Lake Washington. Being on the water is my happy place! 🙂
Wonderful weather and beautiful place to walk. Spring comes to the Pacific Northwest! Hooray. Eugene was warmer than us here in Florida today. We got the leftovers of that terrible storm ‘up East’ and last night the temps dropped into the low 40s. But tomorrow afternoon we start climbing back up into the 80s. No complaints.
Your UFO looks to me like some kind of hawk.
It looks like the perfect way to make the most of a pleasant day in March! They have been few and far between. In fact…non-existent over here.
Lake Washington looks wonderful. Looking at your photos I feel your walk was a little chilly. Have a good weekend. B x
A windy walk but its always a pleasure to walk by the water and enjoy the ducks!
You, Trickster, you! Ha! You know what I thought when I saw the title of your post pop up! Glad that you went out to enjoy the gorgeous weather… ☘️
Lovely! That’s a golden eagle.
I don’t know how I missed this post…thank you for the lovely trip! I love to walk around the edges of a lake. Beautiful pictures.
