I’m joining Viewing Nature with Eileen for Saturday Critters today. The following critters were roaming and flying about Yellowstone and Cody, Wyoming.
Outside the Buffalo Bill Museum in Cody, Wyoming.
The Buffalo/Bison are allowed to make their own crossings regardless of the double yellow lines.
This gives you some perspective on how large they are.
A herd of elk far away on a hillside. I’m fully zoomed on this one.
One closer up and saying goodbye to us as we exit Yellowstone National Park.
I’ll be sharing more of my Bison photos for ABC Wednesday since we will be on the letter B this coming week.
Thank you Eileen for hosting Saturday Critters and for always taking the time to leave comments. You really are amazing!
Today is starting a bit gloomy in the Seattle area with a cloud cover and no sunshine peeking through. It’s a quiet weekend around this old house which is always good. What’s happening in your neck of the woods?

So exciting to see the bison and the elk! Always wanted to go there….sounds wonderful!
Hi Ellen! How fun to see all those animals! Thank you for sharing your photos, friend!
So many sights you saw on your road trip…not the least of which is these fascinating creatures! Amazing to see the bison crossing the road way!!
We are having a rather quiet weekend here too. Only the four of us tomorrow afternoon, which is unusual…but we’ll enjoy the rest.
what amazing photos…it must have been a wonderful trip…
Oh my, those bison! I think I’d faint if one crossed in front of my car (but I’d have my camera out, first!)! Great photos!
Wonderful photos of beautiful critters, Ellen! The bison looks truly impressive.
Thank you for sharing. Have a great new week! xx
Amazing, God’s creatures roaming through where people collect to view them. You were closer to my country! Hope you had a great trip.
Wow, the Bison certainly aren’t worried about the traffic are they!
