Philippians 1:3-11 (ESV)
Thanksgiving and Prayer
3 I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, 4 always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. 6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. 7 It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart, for you are all partakers with me of grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel. 8 For God is my witness, how I yearn for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus. 9 And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, 10 so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

I love this prayer of Paul’s and wanted to pair it with the collage of my bleeding hearts.
We are enjoying a fine stretch of dry sunshiny days here in the Seattle area. I’m getting ready to head outdoors to work alongside Dear who is cleaning out the rain gutters. I’ll be doing some weeding and maybe even wash my car! Hope you have a nice first weekend of April!
Bleeding heart is Northwest favorite and brings back childhood memories! Thanks for sharing from Philippians, a book to read over and over!!
I enjoyed seeing your bleeding heart. I have a couple in my back yard, but they are just nubs right now. I like the Philippians prayer too.
so beautiful.
Beautiful words from Philippians and beautiful bleeding hearts.
I’ll tell you, I have a bit of a plant phobia. Most flowers I love, as well as most trees. I don’t like the creepers, weeds, and yard-taker-overs which are so abundant in our area of the country! Now these little flowers of yours are a wonderful color. They are wonderfully placed in this sunny day. But- you must admit- they are a little on the freaky side?
Hello Ellen, Thank you for your sweet comment about my post. It certainly was much more fun than waiting for food in a crowed restaurant. Smile.
Your bleeding heart collage is beautiful. I love those flowers. Last year I had two hanging baskets of bleeding hearts and they stayed pretty for a long time. The verse was very meaningful as well. A great share.
Have a wonderful week.

Jeanne
