It’s been 5 years since we’ve had a “Sister weekend”.

We made some good memories then and it’s time for some more…

Last time on the first weekend of April 2011 we took the Clipper to Victoria for a weekend. This time we are staying in our homes in the Seattle area and venturing out from here.

Last time we were in Victoria we met up with Pondside and she gave us a grand tour of the area. My sisters and I loved spending time with her. She is a blogger that I so admire for her work ethic and her caring heart for all the people in her life.

I’m hoping to show my sisters our fields of daffodils this time around. Here’s hoping for decent weather and rows and rows of daffodils!
I’m getting things ready at this old house for my sisters. Trying to plan some easy meals in between our outings. I’m thinking about breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks and desserts. I’ve got two guest rooms ready for my oldest sister Kathy and my next oldest sister Vera. My younger sister, Lana, lives walking distance to me. Kathy and Vera live in southern California. I’m picking them up from the airport on Friday morning. I hope to share some of our adventures on my blog next week.
SAD NEWS FOR BLOGGERS!
I was so sorry to hear that Sally of Smiling Sally Blog has passed away. She hosted Blue Monday for years. I participated in the past but haven’t for some time. She was always encouraging and positive and kind. I love what bj said in her comment on Sally’s blog…
Bye, bye, Sally…you are now in the best BLUE of all….Blue Heaven.
On her blog she has this verse as her favorite so I know I will see her again in the future in heaven…
You’re going to have so much fun! I hope the weather cooperates!
I have pretend sisters who I love spending time with.
You and your sisters are so blessed to have ea other. I think everyone should have a sister..and a brother…I haven’t a sis…but I do have a bro…:)
Yes..we surely will miss Smiling Sally..she’s been ill for such a long time with that olden heart of hers. She always made us all think she was smiling all the time, tho.

So very excited! I am so looking forward to our blessed sister time! Vera
I’m so happy for you as you anticipate your sister weekend. I just had mine last month and I’m still savouring every minute of it. A gift that I can hardly express. I remember your trip to Victoria and the fun you had. I’m sure you will allow us to follow in your footsteps after your time together again. Sorry to hear that your blogging friend Sally passes away. Blue Heaven…what a day that will be…she is enjoying it sooner than the rest of us.
So many are going to miss Smiling Sally. I loved her parting comments on her blog…”He Lives”
Hope that you and all your sisters have a wonderful time together and I really do know that you will. You must be starting to feel human again after that nasty head cold.
You are so blessed to have a sister who lives within walking distance. I have one sister; 7 years younger than I; she lives in Edmonton, AB. and I live in southern Manitoba. We see each other about two times a year. Hope you have a great weekend together and I look forward to reading all about it. Sharon
Oh I adored Sally and had not heard this sad news. 😦
On a happier note, thank you ever so much for linking up at Thoughts of Home on Thursday. Your presence adds such a ray of sunshine!
Lucky you to have so many sister. Have a wonderful, memory-making time together.
Do have a wonderful time with your sisters! I know that your home will be a comfort to return to after the days out and about! If you head North to the Skagit Valley, take it in for me and I’ll look for pictures later! It’s so fun to see all the budding and blooming this time of year!!
Must be such a blessing to have 3 sisters. Was four brothers for me.
Just saying howdy…it’s a test… =D
Wishing you a wonderful ‘sister weekend’! I’m sure you will have a blast, whatever the weather. I remember well your sister get-away to Victoria…and can’t believe that 5 years have passed since then. Where does the time go?
I was never blessed with sisters, only raucous brothers! Have a wonderful time. So sad about Sally, this is the second blogger that I have heard has passed away. xx
Oh your weekend is going to be so fun! How lucky to get to celebrate together. You live in a beautiful area for adventures …. And seeing those fields of daffodils would absolutely make my day/month/year…..
This is a wonderful tradition! It inspires me to do this with my sister.❤️
Love the pictures of you and your sisters. Thanks for sharing about Sally’s homegoing! She was always so sweet too!!!
