Sunlit Sunday

I was so pleased to be able to have a couple walks this week with a little bit of sunshine. We are seeing more and more signs that Spring is coming. It’s always so encouraging to see these signs!

One of the yards we pass on our walks is this well manicured one. The little older gal who lives here tends it well and soon there will be lots of tulips and other blooms to enjoy. The daffodils are coming up all over our region.

I’m linking up with My Little Home and Garden for Sunlit Sunday!

It was a semi productive week at this old house. It was one of those weeks where you get odd things done that aren’t weekly things and because of that it throws the weekly things out the window. Today it was a wonderful cold sunny day so we got our walk in and I pruned the pear tree!  Hopefully this coming week I’ll get caught up with the routine stuff!

Hope you have a beautiful sunlit Sunday!

About Ellen am a wife, mother, baba (grandmother) and a loyal friend. Jesus is my King and my hope is in my future with Him.

  1. Love those signs of Spring. I’m glad you enjoyed some sunshine this week. Today was sunny and 70° in our part of the world. It will be back in the 40s the rest of the week but we enjoyed today!

  2. Those red berries are wonderful – what are they Ellen?
Such a well manicured garden and trees.
Great to get walks in every day if possible, I’m not walking so much at the moment as its so hot!
Yes I know, for you it’s too cold!!!

    • Hi Shane, This is one of a few trees that line a street we walk on and I’m not sure what kind of tree it is. I find it easier to walk in the cool than in the heat! Hope you have a wonderful day!

  3. Lovely shots of the clouds and the crabapple tree ready to burst out. I just love our spring. Where do you live that you can take a ride to Bow and Edison. We are in Bellingham but spend a lot of time taking rides in Skagit county. The last two times we’ve been to Bow and Edison we’ve seen quite a few eagles and some great Red Tail Hawks too.

    • Hi Jo,
We live in Kenmore on the north east end of Lake Washington. I love to go for rides when the weather cooperates to see new towns and roads! Thanks for your comment!

  4. Wow – I just can’t believe how far ahead you are with Spring even though we are so unseasonably mild right now over here. I long for Spring ….. Good for you to get those “other” things done – that’s what I should be doing in THIS old house!!!

  5. Your neighbourhood looks a lot like ours. The days are still chilly – usually about 12 or 13 degrees, but the blossoms just keep on coming!

  6. These signs of spring are so welcome. After a week of rain the sun is shining here and although the nights are chilly, the days are bright with a hint of warmth. So lovely.
