The Nativity

Someday we’ll know the real story on what that night looked like so many years ago. For now we rejoice in our dear Savior’s birth!

Preparations continue at this old house with little decorating tweaks here and there. Today I’m meeting the Senior walking girls for lunch and tomorrow night is Dear’s Company Gala Event. No fancy shoes for me yet. My toe is a whole lot better but I still can only wear flats. As Tim Gunn says “Make it Work”! I’ll make my flats work with my dress up clothes. How goes it at your place?

  1. Yes, it is good and practical of you to be careful with your foot. I am pretty sure that you’ll make it work! You have some sweet Nativity sets. I am still reeling from learning that the Heavenly Host did not sing. What?! Perhaps it is time to haul out the Strong’s.

  2. Thank you for sharing your collection of nativity sets. It is amazing that He came to earth as a human baby. “Amazing love, how can it be?”

Enjoy your festivities this week! I am sure you will look lovely, flat shoes and all!

  3. Tim Gunn’s got it right. Make do until you can do better! Flats these days are so cute, so I’m sure you will have no problem looking stylish AND feeling comfortable. (Said the woman with severe back problems who insisted on wearing high heels last night and is paying dearly for it this morning!)

Your Nativity scenes are beautiful. The true reason for the season.

  4. OK…I think I need to get on with the decorating over here. Many of my decorations are still packed away…including my nativity scene!
