“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” from Anne of Green Gables
October…one of my favorite months of the year. It’s when colors begin to change.
It’s when the regular season of MLS soccer comes to an end and when playoffs loom ahead!
In October we love to visit our middle son in Eastern Washington. The photo above is taken on his property.
When there is still a little color in some Autumn plants and the leaves are falling.
Oh my…the leaves keep falling.
At this old house I wouldn’t have to mow again except for the fact that I use the mower as a vacuum for the leaves.
I do love October even though it brings more yard work at this old house. The tree that drops all these leaves isn’t even our tree.
I’m linking up to ABC Wednesday that was started by Mrs. Nesbitt and continues on with the help of a great team.
Thank you so much for sharing your many gifts, I love the pictures you share!
The pictures are wonderful, autumn is my favourite season, Anne of Green gables was one of my favourite books when I was a girl just loved it,
best wishes

I love the photo of the red barn and beautiful tree. There are so many lovely pictures of fall scenes on blogs right now.
October does lend a wonderful opportunity for colourful picture taking – yours are beautiful!
We are at the height of October’s colors here in Chicagoland…lovey series♪ http://lauriekazmierczak.com/orange-maple-leaf/
Great post and colorful and creative photography for October!
love the color of October
How beautiful all these lovely photos are. Out here on the Plains of West Texas, we haven’t that many trees that turn colors. I enjoy seeing yours, tho.
Pretty photos – I love seeing the autumn colors but ours does not kick in until November in Austin. I was just looking through photos from my trip to Calgary last October and the leaves looked gorgeous! I do miss seeing the fall colors early in the season, but I don’t miss the colder weather 🙂
October is a wonderful month, in between summer and winter – truly autumn. Your autumn colored leaves are beautiful on the ground, but I know they need to be cleaned up.
You have got a more colourful autumn than we have at the moment!
BTW I love the books about Anne, with an E, of Green Gables!
Have a great week!
Wil, ABCW Team
We are also enjoying a more colorful autumn! It’s beautiful and I truly enjoyed your post!
I agree with Anne…and you! October is a glorious month!
Great photos! I love all the scenes of Autumn and feel the excitement of the soccer game 🙂
Oh my word, that gorgeous vine on the fence is STUNNING. We have so many trees in our neighborhood that we appreciate the lawn service who comes and cleans our yard up when most of the leaves have fallen. The colors are stunning. Some how, some day I want fall colors in my home….not sure how to do dark colors well but I am so happy when I see the fall colors.
Love that tall yellow tree at your son’s house. Anna Green Gables – don’t know how many times I’ve seen the movie (because it was a fave from my then teen daughter:) ) By the way, thanks for the link for the Turkey Pepper Chili – finally a recipe with kale!
We frequently visit our sons who live in E. Washington too. The autumn colors there certainly rival those of the famous East Coast autumn colors. Love the tree on his property, and your home too !
October makes a great O. I love the pics. October is great for colors down here in Oklahoma as well. We are about a couple weeks behind you.
Calling by for ABC Wednesday, lovely photos especially the Virginia Creeper.
Lovely October photos, pretty fall colors!
Colors colors everywhere! I can’t belief all those leaves aren’t even from your tree… and you’ll have to hoover it up with your mower!
Oh my – looks like you have beautiful fall colors this year. Ours is a bit blah…. love that first picture.
