Happy New Year!

May 2014 be a year of recognizing God’s blessings on our lives!

Today I am starting some new things and I’ll be doing some traditional things like watching the Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl game. What are you doing on the first day of 2014?

  1. …medieval meal with our family…our theme for today.
    Have a wonderful 2014.
(thinking back on 2013’s events, one of the pleasant things was meeting you face to face at your book signing!)

  2. Happy new year! I had planned a lovely prime rib dinner in between the parade and the football but hubby is trying to get a design project out the door by tomorrow and possible snow is sending our daughter home early. BUT…Molly (dog) and I will enjoy a fire in front of the tv and some reading to begin this new year, while hopefully watching SNOW fall. I started a new blog for myself just to track beauty, blessings and joys…good to keep track and give thanks no matter what the circumstances of life happen to be. Praying new joys and more revelations in your relationship with our Father this coming year!

  3. Happy first Day of the New Year to you Ellen! Kathy’s Portzelky got me thinking about New Year’s Day traditions in the Swiss Menn. tradition. I can’t remember any specific ones but decided to put a pork loin roast with sauerkraut, apples and onions to slow bake for an early supper. Still in my jammies and the farmer has a bad cold so staying indoors!
