Glimpses…

…of Fall in my world.

I couldn’t walk away from this mum for $9.99 to add some late color to the deck.

Love these cascading vines on the neighbors fence.

I made a quick stop at Ste Michelle Winery and one of the resident peacocks was out but camouflaged…

Some dahlias were still showing beautifully at the winery but there wasn’t much fall color showing yet in the trees.

We are headed into another busy week at this old house. I’m looking forward to Dear coming home from Austria on Wednesday. What’s happening in your world?

  1. We face Carmageddon II tomorrow morning on our way home from LA after a weekend of dog sitting. Then it’s back to classes. Not so exciting…

  2. My goodness..those vines are amazing! It’s raining here which means there won’t be any construction going on our house for a while. That’s okay. When you’ve waited this long, what’s a few more days?? πŸ™‚

  3. I never think of a peacock being “camouflaged” but he certainly is against that hedge. The cascading vine is just gorgeous. Lucky you to have that next door.

  4. So much beauty in your world. I would sit and stare at those gorgeous vines all day. WOWZA! After our horrid drought we look more like Spring around here after our one 7 inch two day rain. Trees started loosing leaves in August so we’re not sure if we will have Fall color or not but normal Spring blooming trees are blooming again. It’s really crazy around here. So I’m very thankful for my blogging friends who have Fall colors to share. Joy to your week!

  5. Hope the next few days go by quickly for you . . . and for me too! =)
Are you thinking of the present you will get when he comes home? Our grand are looking forward to the present they will get.

  6. Gorgeous colour! I’m heading back to work after an action-packed weekend – we’ve had company of Denmark that arrived before I was quite over my own jet-lag – but it was fun!

  7. So beautiful, Ellen … that cascading vine is gorgeous … as are all your photos. And I hope your wait for ‘hubby’ will speed by!

  9. I love Fall…it’s a show of colors and introduces to a slowing down time…giving more time for relaxation and reflection.

  10. Beautiful pictures Ellen!!! I grew Dahlias for the first time this year and absolutely love them!!! The trees are turning colours very quickly this past week and everything looks so beautiful right now! Our Thanksgiving is this coming weekend – perfect timing for all that’s Fall!
