Finally hung my new squirrel proof bird feeder that my friend Beth gave me. Thanks Beth! It was sunny a couple days this week! I also added some lanterns in the tree for fun. I might hang them again with red, white, and blue ribbons for the 4th of July.

The lanterns came down before the rains came down again on Friday.
On the way to the Sounders game last Wednesday (another great sunny day, but who’s counting?) we saw the progress on Seattle’s Ferris Wheel. I love that the stadiums and Mt. Rainier are in the background.

Saturday morning I’m headed out, probably in the rain, for a little reunion walk with my former walking buddies. In the evening we are joining our son and DIL at a Medical Missions Auction fund raiser dinner at Safeco Field, that’s where the Mariners Baseball team plays. The dinner will be on the infield of the stadium. We were told to make sure we dress warmly. It should be fun. We might get some sun again tomorrow. On Sunday after church I’m hoping to drag Dear to the HomeGoods grand opening in Lynnwood. Finally they are opening a store here in Washington state. How’s your weekend shaping up?
A lot more tamely than yours, thankfully. (I couldn’t keep up with your pace.) Have a lot of fun! These photos are pretty cool. Not often that one sees these subjects in the same photo.
Sounds like you are going to be busy! After a full week with our “little man”, I am taking today OFF! It’s 11:30 AM and I am still in my pjs! 🙂
I thought the lanterns are the bird feeders! But then again, they could be converted… your next creative project. And the ferris wheels, wow, they offer good view to the Mountain.
A busy weekend for you! We’re off to a jazz concert in a log cabin this evening – odd composition of elements!
I saw that there was a Home Goods store about to open when I was in Lynnwood last weekend – just a few days too early.
Nice weekend plans Ellen. The seasonal color switch out for the lanterns is great! I can see a Christmas look going even in winter.
Still almost 100 degrees here, high winds, 5% humidity because the Pacific Northwest is hogging all the cool weather and rain. Dress warmly for a baseball game? A bikini would almost be too warm for a game around here.
A ferris wheel! Something new to do in Seattle next time I’m there. It looks very large, there must be quite a view from the top of the wheel.
Your ribboned lanterns were pretty in the tree. Is that bird feeder truly squirrel proof?
Time will tell Sara if that feeder is squirrel proof. It has a spring action on it that is triggered by weight and moves a portion of the feeder that closes off the seed…
R, W. & B ribbons for the Fourth would be really cute! So glad the weather turned out lovely for your auction dinner!! Home Goods – just telll dear it’s the Cabella’s for women!!
