Family Joining Together…

Psalm 1 (ESV)

Blessed is the man
    who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
    nor sits in the seat of scoffers;

but his delight is in the law of the Lord,
    and on his law he meditates day and night.

He is like a tree
    planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
    and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers.

The wicked are not so,
    but are like chaff that the wind drives away.

Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
    nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;

for the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
    but the way of the wicked will perish.

 This was the passage that Levi and Kristin chose for their wedding. My brother Steve used this Psalm for his wedding charge to them.

The Bride’s family

I couldn’t end my wedding posts without showing you the fancy shmancy porta potties that were on site. They are called Royal Restrooms. You can see I was impressed as I took a photo of the outside and inside. There even was a carpet inside…

Today is my Father’s 89th birthday. Happy Birthday Pops! Psalm 1 is something you have modeled for your family! Thank you for choosing righteousness.

    Ellen, with all these terrific pictures you could put together an online book and gift it to the bride!

  7. Beautiful. From the wedding’s focus to the bride’s non-strapless-dress (I’ve nothing against strapless; they seem ubiquitous, that’s all) to the unique setting and thoughtful details. Beautiful.
