For Kathleen’s Good Earth Theme for Let’s Dish this week I’m revisiting my earthy apple blossom setting. The blossoms just started blooming again this past week.

I used some old depression glass to feature the blossoms.

It’s fun to bring the outdoors in to add some color and depth to a table setting.
Here are some photos of my apple blossoms so far this year. They should be fully bloomed soon.

“Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad, let the sea resound, and all that is in it; let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them. Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy; they will sing before the Lord.” (Psalm 96:11-13)

This is so pretty, Ellen. My MIL gifted me with depression glass in several colours. I love the pink and green especially. You’ve inspired me to use it when I sent my table. Thanks for sharing. The apple blossom goes so well with it.
So lovely, Ellen. God’s handiwork, and yours.
Gorgeous! I love that you used depression ware with your apple blossoms. So pretty!
Gorgeous — I don’t know if I have ever seen any apple blossom to tell you the truth. They are quite beautiful, as is your Pink Depression glass.
Well that’s fun. Our Apple blossoms are at the same stage as yours are.
What is the name of your depression glass pattern?
The pink depression glass is a perfect way to share the apple blossoms. I’m going to remember this and copy you! (If I ever see an apple blossom.)

Ellen – your apple blossom depression glass and your real apple blossoms are gorgeous! I too collect depression glass and quite a bit of the green “Royal Lace” pattern pieces. Hmmmm you’ve got me thinking of how I can participate in a Let’s Dish post using my green depression glass sometime???? My apple blossoms aren’t quite there as yet.
Ooooo, I am pee green & PINK with envy over all your lovely pink depression glass, Ellen! I have some that was my mother’s & I cherish it. Actually cried when I broke one piece a few years ago.

You have inspired me! I just love the idea of bringing in apple blossoms. We have one small apple tree but it is always beautiful in the spring. Here’s a look: http://www.flickr.com/photos/8999293@N03/6843685603/in/photostream It is finished blooming now but I will remember this for next year. The depression pink glass is just perfect for that gift from Mother Nature. Beautiful table!

Thanks so much for linking to Let’s Dish!
So sweet. I like your display of the delicate blossoms with the canes and leaves.
I miss not having a flowering tree in our yard. The last two were cut down several years ago after we got tired of cleaning up the crab apples. How beautiful the flowering branches look in your depression glass!
I LOVE YOUR BLOG! Thank you for great pics and inspiring posts.
