Katie and I flew into Bob Hope Airport in Burbank on Saturday morning. We hopped into our crumby little rental car and headed to Orange County for a Baby Shower Brunch. The newest addition to our family was showered with gifts and we finally got to see her in person and give her some squeezes and kisses. Her mommy is our oldest niece on Dear’s side of the family. Here’s little Miss…

These are Dear’s 3 nieces. Little Miss’s mommy is in the middle. Aren’t they beautiful?! Youngest niece on the left is a model.

We had a wonderful time celebrating little Miss and seeing all the fun little girl gifts she was showered with. It was easier to say goodbye knowing we’d see Dear’s family again at the wedding in less than two weeks. I failed to get a single photo of my sister-in-law who is Little Miss’s grandmother and the mother of my 3 beautiful nieces! OYE!
In the next day or two I’ll share the photos from our second big event in Orange County on this same Saturday in the evening. Here’s a sneak peek.

You will need to give me an extra measure of understanding if you do not see me or hear comments from me on your blogs in the next 13 days. We are busy around here getting all the last minute details taken care of for the wedding. We met with the wedding planner today and wrote out the big checks for the event with our final numbers handed in. Hope all is well with you all. We are being threatened again with some snow in the lowlands. Blessings…
I so enjoyed your photos. It is wonderful how blogging develops relationships and even those we have never met seem familiar and it is good to see them again.
Beautiful girls…
Ellen, I’m amazed that you’re posting on your blog, let alone commenting on ours! It looks like you’re having a whirlwind of fun. Thanks for sharing it with us!
Oh what fun…to be able to sneak away for a day and celebrate with family…before the big celebration! It looks like a good time was had by all.
Your nieces are all beautiful – and so are your grand nieces! I hope you enjoy every minute of the next 13 days.
Beautiful photos of all those lovely ladies. You sure had a whirlwind trip. BTW, Bob Hope is a great airport to fly in and out of–short lines đ
I love your blog, Ellen! And this is great. But no Christina?
Lovely girls and a sweet little one. Great family photos.
Don’t you worry. You have a lot going on and you’re going to need something to do when the dust settles. đ You know I’m teasing, right?!
Beautiful family! Lovely little miss…
What a nice reason to get family together!
And just when I was wondering which one the grandmother was… you clarified… oye is right. =)
I will be praying for you…I know about those final days of preparing for a daughter’s wedding! Try to enjoy it….it is a special time!
Baby showers abound!
Glad to read no chest compressions were needed upon viewing the final wedding bill…grin. A Godly daughter marrying a Godly man calls for modern day version of fattened calf and finest robe kind of spare no expense blow out!
I love that first picture of your grand niece. What a sweetie. Love the onesie bouquet too!
Little Miss is adorable, and your entire family is so lovely. It is so joyful to share in happy events such as this.
You were wise to get a wedding planner–we did it all ourselves and I am wondering if it will all come together smoothly on our daughter’s big day–time will tell! Enjoy every second and all the final preparations. You look marvelous and so happy!
Congrats to you all! Your whole extended family is beautiful, Ellen, from young to old. Don’t worry about not responding to blogs, first things first! đ
