Finally I Walked…

…and I need to walk more.

I met my former walking buddy and we walked 6.7 miles on the river trail on Saturday morning at a 3.5 mile an hour clip. I know all that because she has a new fangled program on her phone that tells you things like that…

The weather was sunny and dry and perfect for walking in the Great Northwest. The ducks were in abundance and were really making a racket!

I’m looking to be able to walk a least 3 more times during the week. One more day of dryness has been promised to us. We’ll take it and enjoy it to the fullest. Next Saturday we hope to walk again with our third former walking buddy along as well. Time will tell. You just have to be flexible these days.

  1. Good for you! This has given me another “poke” to get walking again too. Looks like you had your camera along – great idea!

  2. It’s cold and rainy here today…I am telling myself I need to go mall walking this morning…you’ve inspired me to actually get out there and do it! Thanks for the morning pep-talk!

  3. Love that last picutre! It’s a little of what I see on my waks with my girlfriend. We have walked for over 20 years now! It’s not as oftne as it used to be, but still about 3 times a week. It’s a blessing to have a friend who that committed to walking. Hoping for more dry weather for you and me.

  4. I am so happy for you to have reunited with your walking partners. You had just mentioned it and now you are back at it.
I love that phone ap…so fun. Your photos are wonderful…just think of the blog material you will be collecting.

  5. I have Endomondo on my phone now. It not only tracks your distance and time, but your path, so you can take the same walk and know exactly how far it is! The other morning I set the phone to count down from 10 before it began. I heard this voice counting…10, 9, 8…..1 then it said, now go and free your endorphins! I love that!

  6. Anything that makes us motivated to walk…and I love nothing more than a walk with a good buddy, makes the time go much faster and yet one enjoys the freedom of the wind rushing through one’s hair and the voices of chatter that make you say, We’re done already?
