It’s Autumn, the season of orange, brown, and yellow. A wonderful time for hearty soup and hot drinks. The scents of wood burning, cinnamon, pumpkin, and hot apple cider fill the air. I love this season of cozy blankets and nice wooly sweaters. Instead of Alphabe-Thursday Teacher Jenny is asking for some Fall photos to share for the rest of October. Katie and I stopped at a local small pumpkin farm and took these shots…
It seems like the colors are finally changing here in the Northwest. On Friday I’ll be headed out again on an overnight to British Columbia. I’m joining several of the Mennonite Girls Can Cook for the Westcoast Women’s Show in Abbotsford, Canada. We will be signing books at the Winks Home Garden and Gifts booth at the show. We will be at booth #490. On Saturday and Sunday we will be on the kitchen stage with special recipe demonstrations.
Another weekend of fun and hard work for the MGCC gang! So cool. So very cool. (Except I hope that you guys plan plenty of down time, too.)
Your daughter looks perfectly at home in the pumpkin patch. Cute pictures!
Love those bumpy, warty pumpkins…
I love your model among the pumpkins (:
..and those birdies are sweet. Nice color happening in your area.
I love the pumpkin scarecrows, but they don’t seem to be scaring away all of the birds! (Are they some kind of starling?)
Katie is so pretty in the pumpkin patch! I’ll be there’s a young marine looking at the photos and counting the days ’til he gets home.
Good luck on the weekend!
Our local grocery store always has a HUGE display of pumpkins outside for sale each Fall. I’m so amazed at the variety….pumpkins aren’t what they used to be. Have a fun time in Canada!
Beautiful model among those great pumpkins!
Have a great weekend too,
Alphabe-Thursday
Love those pumpkins. The warty ones are my favorite! =>
What fun! I love the black birds on the flowers. What a cool shot!
What fabulous photos! (My very favorite is the third one — pure joy of visiting the pumpkin patch!) Oh, I feel like I am missing out not living in the USA or Canada — at least during autumn… Well, it’s second best to visit these places with you through your photos. 🙂
I have always wanted to go to a pumpkin patch and yet have not done it. Note to self: Put on bucket list. Yes, I’m mentally creating on of those. Not that I’m going anywhere, anytime soon, but…there’s so much I want to do and well, life is short.
“Autumn Is Here” Poem…Alphabe-Thursday & T2Q
Beautiful pictures ! we had a lot of pumpkin festivals beginning October, now the leaves should change color, but they don’t !
I love how you like to highlight that gorgeous gal of yours. So nice that you have the time with her right now…and I love her jeans and sweater…just a perfect touch to a fall season.
Perfect fall photos. And a very pretty girl!
=)

Love it! Did you take a pumpkin home?
Beautiful photos, is right! And I’m looking forward to spenidng time with you this weekend… even if it is in a booth. But it’s a very lovely booth.
Lovely photos! Was that model expensive???
Judie,
Yes she has been very expensive over almost 26 years now…
Jody,
We didn’t take a pumpkin home from this patch.
Your daughter is so lovely and looks so happy sitting anong the pumpkins!
I am home from two week trip in California. We had a wonderful trip and weather…lots of nice memories ..but I am happy to back home to experience Autumn!
It was in the 90s today where I live. No warm soups or sweaters here yet!
Awwwwww….
This is exactly what I think of when I think of Autumn.
Sunflowers, pumpkin and corn fields…low butterly light…
Just lovely.
And your Katie. My goodness. What a beautiful young woman.
Thank you for letting my heart smile this morning!
I loved this.
A+
Thank you for your beautiful fall photos. Birds, flowers, pumpkins, and a lovely young lady all helped make my day brighter.
