How Precious is This!?

Our future son-in-law Andrew who is a Marine stationed at Camp Lejeune received this letter today. He really appreciated it and got a big kick out of it. I think you will too! Any teachers out there who want to make someone who is serving in the military feel appreciated this would be a worthwhile project. I think Andrew will have fun answering this letter.

Photobucket replaced all my photos with ugly black and grey boxes and they are holding my photos hostage until I pay them lots of money. I’m slowly going through all my posts and trying to clean them up and replacing some photos. Such a bother.

  1. How fun is that. We all like to get a hand written letter, and I can imagine how special it was to get this little lads letter. Kathy

  2. Oh dear…everyone is looking at me at work…I laughed so loud at this letter. Is it fun in the military? My Black Hawk pilot friend just back from Afghanstan is grumbling on FB about being “punished” with PT 2x a day now that he is home at last.

And what state is he fighting in? Does Ryan G. know more than we do about this? I know a WTF (winning the future, did they think through that name?) battle has been launched, but I hadn’t realized that our troops were being dispached to wage battle in specific states.

    I too hope he wins….

    • Steve, No bazookas since WWII but they have replaced them with other rockets and shoulder mounted weapons. I think the word is pretty cool, too…maybe because I loved that bazooka gum…

  3. What I find so precious is the effort that little Ryan put into that letter. Notice the carefully erased mistakes and the nice coloring job. This child really wanted to impress your son-in-law! Thank God that there are some teachers out there who are still trying to bring patriotism into their classrooms!
