and puts up with my whimseys.
I told him I really needed a Hummingbird Feeder outside my computer window.
So he got out his ladder and tools and came up with a way to hang the feeder so I could see it outside the window.
Perfect…just at the right height for me to see the Hummingbirds come and feed. Now we wait…
What’s that looking at me?
Such beautiful fast little birds.
I’m so happy for these little wonders to come and visit and have a sip before they speed off again!
I’m linking up with Mary at Work of the Poet for Ruby Tuesday since my feeder is ruby. I hope to catch a photo of a Ruby Throated Hummingbird soon.
Photobucket replaced all my photos with ugly black and grey boxes and they are holding my photos hostage until I pay them lots of money. I’m slowly going through all my posts and trying to clean them up and replacing some photos. Such a bother.
Isn’t it nice to be pampered and spoiled sometimes hehe. For days now I also am watching and waiting for my humming bird to come and today I got a good picture of the little birdie which would be posted the next time. Happy birding!!
Red is emergency
I’m so envious!
Great shots, sweet hubby!
Sweet! How do you fill it??
That whole top part comes off…
or do you want to know how I get it off of there to begin with :0)
. . . . hummingbird watchers . . . . sure sign that you have both reached retirement age !!!
Do they fly up to the 9th floor? Maybe I could have one outside my window too! Meanwhile I thoroughly enjoyed your fantastic pictures!
Now that would be a feat to set one out of the 9th floor unless you have a balcony :0)
WOW! I am jealous. 🙂
And all you had to do was ask???
The feeder is attractive, and really makes those fast avians put down their flaps and landing gear for a perfect landing on that lake of nectar.
Such great beauty in a small package!
How fun. A friend sent me a link to someone in CA who had a video camera aimed at Hummingbird nest. I missed the hatching. She said the eggs were the size of Tic Tac’s. Those little birds are amazing. Yeah for a hubby who loves you so well.
Your Dear is such a dear, Ellen! Happy hummingbird watching!
awww..that is so sweet! was laughing at the bird:) it was pecking at the plastic flower:D probably, thinking it was a real one. nice shots!
They are such beautiful little birds…and you’ve got an amazing view of them! And what a wonderful husband you have too!
Great shots of the little bird.
You will have so many opportunities to see the little hummingbirds at work! I wonder how many different species will visit outside your window? You are very lucky!!
Ask, and ye shall receive! Aren’t husbands great like that?! ;o) Wonderful feeder… and to see those hummingbirds up close is such a treat. I will be needing to take an unexpected break for a few days, so may be slow to be around. I will post about it tomorrow. Happy Week, Ellen :o) ((HUGS))
Great lens capture. I have one still trying to get the photo.
My ruby link for you
That is incredible, really neat
I have my hummingbird feeder set way to far away for good shots. .that is what I learned from this post.
How fun.
Another good reason to stay on the computer!
Lucky you! I hung a feeder outside my office window as well…and I’m still waiting for the hummingbirds to arrive. Hmmm.
The hummingbird is sweeter, but sweeter still is Mr. B!
I’m guessing you are now ready to join the “I get no work done because I’m watching and photographing the hummingbirds at the feeder club”?
Also know as “IGNWDBIWAPTHATFC”
Maybe we need to find a better name for our club?
Any suggestions?
(Good for your Mr. B!)
what a great guy!!
and the hummingbird is pretty cool too 😉
