National Doughnut Day!

To celebrate National Doughnut Day I went to a very nice specialty doughnut shop in Mill Creek, Washington today called Frost. That is real bacon on the Maple Bar and it was really really good! The other donuts are a Butterfinger Crunch and a German Chocolate. I don’ t know how they taste yet because 1 doughnut is already over my sweet limit. I dropped off the other Maple Bacon Bar to my daughter at work.

Photobucket replaced all my photos with ugly black and grey boxes and they are holding my photos hostage until I pay them lots of money. I’m slowly going through all my posts and trying to clean them up and replacing some photos. Such a bother.

  1. I just learned about the history of the day this morning. To celebrate we went to our little Daylight Donut place here in town….glory, nothing like what you got to enjoy. That all looks amazing. I say it is a day WORTHY of being celebrated. I just tried my first Dark Chocolate with bacon….couldn’t really taste the bacon in the bar…just seemed a bit salty and crunchy. Bacon is one of those WONDER foods. :o)

  2. Wow, those are some very exotic donuts. I’ll have to tell the Musician about this…he LOVES donuts. I guess he can still celebrate tomorrow…we just has a big slice of ollalliberry pie (can’t spell it, but it sure tastes wonderful)!

  3. See how out of touch I am? I had no idea that National Doughnut Day even existed. Thanks for getting me up to speed, Ellen. Now pour the coffee and let me at ’em!

  4. Dang I missed it? I didn’t even know there was a day for that. But actually any day is a good day for donuts 🙂 Those look delish!!!

  5. I didn’t know it’s National Doughnut Day… I have to remember that for next year – already jotted that down in my journal. Baby will be old enough to “celebrate”! 🙂
