We arrived home to find our Kitchen/Dining Room all decorated with balloons, streamers and flowers. Josh, Laura, and Katie collaborated in the choosing and decorating. We walked in and were pleasantly surprised and then I cried!
They even included some “Retirement” balloons!
This helium balloon says Chateau Celebration ~ For Vintage Good Times! Love it…
We’re so happy to be home safe and sound. After we rest up tonight we’ll have to unpack and clean up!
Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.
Welcome home! Love the banner!
What a joyous welcome home! Glad you and your hubby arrived safe and sound, Ellen.
So sweet…can’t even imagine all the emotions…praying for good sleep
What a sweet homecoming! Your family is precious.
What a nice surprise. Must have been a blast. 🙂
Oh, I could just cry… that is such a lovely surprise, Ellen! So glad all is well, you are safe & sound… and at home! :o) ((HUGS))
Welcome home, Ellen and ‘Dear.’ Let the good times roll!

So you are safely home! Happy retirement, indeed!
And so why wasn’t I invited? JK!
No one was here but the balloons :0)
Okay then. Just glad you’re home, really.
Ellen and Dear – congratulations on your homecoming…and retirement too. Both are extremely wonderful! I’m thrilled for you both.
And now, I need to go back and catch up on your previous posts. I’ve been missing in action lately on blog reading.
What a sweet welcome home! Hope you get a good rest over the next few days – I’m sure it’s been an emotional roller coaster. ((((you))))
BTW, your kitchen doesn’t look that bad!
And did you see my post today?
Sandy! The part of the kitchen you see is the keeper part. The counters and floor are the “need to replace part” :0)
I did see your post and left a comment earlier. Love that photo of the two of us…
Now that’s what I call a welcome home! Seriously, your hubby is retiring?
Lucky you! Let the adventures of retirement begin!
