The answer seems to be a lot. Not surprisingly most of the fun is centered around food.
On Tuesday night the ladies, Avery, Jackson and my dad had dinner together at Mom and Pop’s. It was good to get together. Avery is 5 months old already. Wednesday I met Willow for a pot of Earl Grey at All Things Tea in Camarillo. I ate a Cranberry Shortbread cookie, too. Wednesday night Dear and I ate at El Tecolote, one of our favorites in Camarillo. Thursday morning I’m meeting some of my sisters and nieces for breakfast and I’ll get to see Jackson and Avery again!
Don’t worry Avery, I’m sure someone will step in and there will be lots of fun things to do without me.
I’ve been busy getting the oil changed in vehicles, shutting services down, booking hotels for our trip up to Seattle, etc.
Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.
And Avery….the planes fly south to California…she can still come play….
Avery is an absolutely darling, Ellen! She is soooooo cute!
Have a safe trip back to Seattle.
I have never moved…from more than 20 miles…
So I have no clue what you one goes through…
But I can sure see from that little one…that you are the activity coordinator in your family and they will sure miss your enthusiasm.
I’m sure that Avery will soon be able to step up and take your place, Ellen. But who will share a pot of Earl Grey with me?
What a cute little one Avery is.
I’m sure you’ll pack love and joy into every minute until you depart! I’m certain that you still be burning up the miles between Seattle and your family in California!
What a singular blessing it has been for you to split your time between homes and to have enjoyed friends and family in both places!!
Thanks for visiting my blog. I see that you’re in transition. I always hate moving, so good luck with that! I have to tell you that your 2 blogging friends (Willow & ?) look like your sisters. Isn’t that funny?
That shot of Avery is priceless!! And the caption is perfect 🙂
Awww, love that picture. So sweet.
I have an award for you!
I’m glad you are able to pack so much fun (and food) into your last weeks of living in California, Ellen! But I bet you’ll be making the trip down to see all those special people in your lives very often even after you take up permanent residence in Seattle again.
