It’s time again for Susan’s Tablescape Thursday. Make sure and click on the logo below to get to Between Naps on the Porch and to see all the tables inspired by this, that and the other. Thank you so much Susan for hosting!
This week my table inspiration was a yellow two tiered server decorated with lemons and blue flowers and green leaves.
The green apples are off my apple tree. I found a yellow tablecloth the same day I purchased the server for $2.50. The green planter boxes came in a set of 3 with a oblong tin holder for $3.99. I only used two of the planter boxes. I had the apple green napkins from years ago and added the vintage looking hankies that I bought for 50 cents each. The napkin rings were 6 for $2.99.
I used my Italian Countryside everyday white dishes and layered them with these garden dishes that I purchased for $6.99 for a set of 8. The goblets were another Goodwill purchase and I paid $1.49 each for them.
This table setting was used twice in one day for Brunch and Dinner with actual human beings sitting at it and eating from it. I love it when that happens. Here are two of the pretties that sat at the table.
And here’s our dinner…
And just in order to stay “real”, here’s how the table looked after dinner and before dessert! :0)
Happy Thursday everyone. I’ll be coming around soon to see your tables!
Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.
Love those fresh springy colors, Ellen. And the hydrangeas in the box are brilliant!
Oh, Ellen, I love your table! The colors are so pretty and exciting! You really know how to dress a table! The food, oh my goodness, yumminess! Those are some very lovely little guests you had too!

Hi Ellen, How nice that you got to use this gorgeous table setting twice and with 2 charming ladies. That blueberry pie looks so scrumptious and so is the entree. Beautiful table all throughout!….Christine
Ellen,
Beautiful table! (And guests!) I love the “AFTER” picture! I can totally relate to that one! The two tiered server is adorable and I love the yellow and blue combination! Have a great week!

What a pretty table and I love the colors and I love tablescapes which real people use (that’s always the case at Linderhof) —
Love the colors and apples grown in your own yard, well you certainly do not have to go far to find fresh produce. I bet your two lovely ladies were good helpers too. I think the food looks delicious.
Joyce

What fun, Ellen! I love the way you did the napkins!
Spectacular, Ellen…just LOVE the zippy freshness of all the green, yellow & blue…has a great spring-like feel. And your dining room is sooo beautiful…like from a magazin.. *sigh*… Ever thought of a career as a tablescape designer? :o) ((HUGS))
How beautiful and so thrifty too! I’m so jealous of the pastries too LOL
The after shot made me laugh 🙂
What a wonderful table scape but equally wonderful looking meal! Wish I could come over for dinner 🙂

Hello, Ellen. This all looks wonderfull! Real apples and a real meal, eaten by real live people! And it’s all coordinated perfectly and with such great energy and lively color! Excellent post!
The colors are just beautiful! Some of my favorites! I loved your dinner picture and the after… very real!! LOL! Hugs!
Oh I love your table, the colors are so pretty (I love lemons – to eat!), and I love how you’ve done your napkins, that is a great idea, it makes the plates look like they are hanging from pretty bows.
Oooh and lamb for dinner, yummy.
The after picture is very real, but by then we know everyone has had such a great time, and all that prep was worth it 😉
I did my first tablescape yesterday, and I’m still enjoying seeing everyone elses from the list. pop over if you get a chance.
Hugs Denise
I love the colors and the green glasses. I have been looking for dark blue ones but I always find only one or two. I guess I will have to pick them up next time and just collect until I have a nice set. The hankie idea with the napkins is a great idea. I see hankies like that all the time in thrift store and love them but I could never think of what to use the for and Thanks to you I know.
Hi Ellen, Love the apple green color in this table setting! The server is darling and I love how you’ve displayed your napkins! YUM…the food looked scrumptious! But the best part was having great company for dinner…what fun! Susan
