ABC’s of the Word ~ Psalm 113

Psalm 113

Praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord, you his servants;
    praise the name of the Lord.
Let the name of the Lord be praised,
    both now and forevermore.
From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets,
    the name of the Lord is to be praised.

The Lord is exalted over all the nations,
    his glory above the heavens.
Who is like the Lord our God,
    the One who sits enthroned on high,
who stoops down to look
    on the heavens and the earth?

He raises the poor from the dust
    and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
he seats them with princes,
    with the princes of his people.
He settles the childless woman in her home
    as a happy mother of children.

Praise the Lord.

We are on the letter X today so we were given the option to use any verses we wanted to share today! This portion of Psalm 113 is my choice for this week. I took this photo after I stepped off the plane at Seatac Airport in Seattle Monday evening.

To see more ABC’s of the Word visit Pam our hostess at Grey Like Snuffie.

Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.

  1. What a beautiful sunset Ellen B. It’s almost as if the Lord was saying, “Welcome Home!” Even though it’s not our true home. The heavens DO proclaim His glory!!!!

    Have a lovely Thursday!!!

    xoxo Cori

  2. Your verse choice and photo are beautiful! The sun is reflected in the photo so differently than I’ve ever seen. And, the Olympics give it the perfect frame!!
