Tablescape Thursday ~ In Honor of the 4th!

Well I’m thinking we are going to see a lot of Red, White and Blue this week on our tables. It’s time for Tablescape Thursday so visit our hostess Susan at Between Naps on the Porch to see a variety of tables decked out for our viewing pleasure!

Dear and I arrived to our home in Washington on Sunday night after 15 hours on the road. We drove from California. I will be in Washington for the next 6 weeks. Dear flies back to California on Sunday. Boohoo! On Monday evening we had all our kids around the table for a meal. Now that is a wonderful thing.

I decided to bring out the red, white and blue for the week. On Saturday we’re having a gathering so this will serve as the buffet table for that event.

For those of you who live in the U.S.A.,Β  hope you all have safe and sane 4th of July celebrations. Thanks for stopping by…

Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.

  4. You are right–there is nothing better than having all your chicks gathered in one place–especially a good looking bunch like yours! My husband says nothing makes me happier. Your red, white, and blue table scape is festive. I love the plate in the background in the plate holder! Have a happy and safe 4th!

  6. Hi Ellen B.,

It sounds like you’ve had a house filled with FUN!! Yes, the fish and loaves, God is truly amazing and I’m often baffled when it seems like there’s nothing left, yet He always increases. He is so faithful!!!

Friday is my normal day off so I get Monday. I’ll be cleaning, organizing, and figuring out what to keep and what to toss. Maybe I should try Mighty Mom’s technique. That was the funniest thing ever.

Gotta go to bed…I’m exhausted, although I don’t know why, I’ve been sitting here on my computer for hours. Some of it included doctoring my photo’s ;-O! TMI…I know.

    Have a lovely evening!!!

    xoxo Cori G.

  7. I’m loving all the red, white & blue. I had a feeling that we would be seeing lots of patriotic tablescapes today. I love yours. I’ll bet you were glad to see all your children again. Have fun in Washington, even if it is without your dear hubby. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. At least I hope it does. Have a happy & safe weekend.

  8. What a content and good-looking bunch gathered at your table! Yes, the red, white and blue is a feast for the eyes. You know how to set a table, girl! Happy 4th, and be safe wherever you may be.

  12. Your table is so appealing — fresh and fun, but not so over-the-top that a family can’t enjoy it — and yours obviously DID!

Happy 4th, Ellen. Oh, and thank you for the very kind comments you left on my new blog. Let’s not be strangers!

  13. I wanted to mention that I am hosting a Christmas in July Tablescape Party at my Playing Dishes blog. There will be one held each Saturday this month. Please come and participate or at least visit. A holiday tablecloth will be given away on the last Saturday, July 25. Info on signups is available by clicking my sidebar meme.

I am also having a weekly Christmas giveaway at my Christmas Memories in My Heart blog. Weekly entries are closed out a midnight on Wednesday for this.

Hopefully some of you tablescape regulars will pull together a tablescape for CIJ or pull out some photos from last year to post.

    Happy CIJ!
