It’s time for Tablescapes from Bloggy world. Susan is the brain child for this weekly event and it really is fun to see the creativity out there. My confession this week (I haven’t confessed in a while) is that I’ve had to give myself the restriction of only buying a bargain plate that I find at my thrift stores if it is made in England! My condo cannot accommodate many more plates people!!
When I was home in Washington in March I set this simple table for a dinner I made for my kids. This was the first time I tried fanning the napkins and I like how that looked. We had lamb loin chops, baked potatoes, salad with Persian dressing, and then an apple strudel for dessert that I purchased from a local bakery…

Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.
Wow great pics and table setting. It is beautiful
Love that napkin. The dishes are awesome.

I love the white plates! The table looks lovely!
The worst part about TT is seeing great food like this. It sounds deelish. I like the fanned napkins, and I love the sqaure green plates. Pretty table.
Blessings, Barb
I like the fanned napkins. Are those plates I see Italian Countryside? My DH picked those out for us. They go with lots of other things.
What a lovely dinner ! I like how you fanned the napkins and those
square green plates are just great !
Thanks for sharing !
Hugs ~ Kammy
Very pretty tablescape — I’m wondering about your “persian” dressing – is that something that you make yourself?
Love your green dishes and I have the same green glass goblets! Great minds think alike! LOL! So fresh and inviting!
Hi Ellen! Oh everything looks wonderful ~ the food and your pretty table setting! Those napkins are wonderful! Looks like Mary Engelbreit fabric!
BE a sweetie,
Shelia π
Cool napkin trick! And now I’m going to raid the fridge … that cereal I ate for supper has left me, I think.

I especially like all the greens in this table setting! Also love those white dishes. That is such a pretty way to fold a napkin!

Very nice, love the fanned napkins. I have yet to try that. I am a novice. I live in So Cal too. Are you close, I am in Corona.
Happy Thursday.

Pretty tablescape! And your menu sounds wonderful! I am laughing at the restriction you have put on yourself! I need to do something similar! Have a great weekend…Debbie
Lovely tablescape! Those green square dishes are so wonderful and I can see them going with so many other things- the shape is such fun too!

A pretty table — loved the square plates (although I don’t own any) and the napkins are really very pretty!
Love the sqaure plates. Your table setting is so simple and yet so beautiful…Christine
What an inviting and lovely setting. I’m crazy about square anything so those plates got my attention. Have a grand day.

What a fun table! I love the look and the colors! Great job!
Love the crisp green and white combination, good job on the ‘fan’ napkin. Sounds like a yummy menu and, I’m sure, a good time for all.
Happy MOM day to you,
Candy
I think I need to same restriction…so many plates, so little room:-/
Love the colors of your tablescape. I have the same restriction.
What a lovely tablescape. I love the square plate with the round charger and the fanned napkin is such a pretty presentation. I do know what you mean. I can’t fit another dish in the cupboard any where. I have to really be careful what I buy or move out. lol Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Marty
I love your table setting…..so very inviting….and I love the way you fanned out the napkins.
I wasn’t planning on buying any new dishes for TT. I just figured I would set and dress that which I have differently.
Have a beautiful day.
Good Morning Ellen…
What a beautiful table and such delicious looking food too! Oh my, it’s only 8:45 am…really to early for heavy food but that baked potato loaded with sour cream and green onions looks sooooo yummy! Hehe!
You know, I really love the look of that green square plate on the round white plate…that’s so pretty! And I love your fanned napkin…I’m going to have to try doing that once in awhile…it offers a nice flair to the placesetting!!!
So glad that you stopped by to take a peek at my Mother’s Day tablescape…sure do appreciate your sweet comments!!! Well my friend, I’m sending my very best wishes for a Happy Mother’s Day to you!!! Have a wonderful day!!!
Warmest wishes,
Chari
Your table looks lovely and food YUMMY!!!
I like the napkins like that too… I want to try that… Dinner looks delicious too. Pretty!
~Really Rainey~
Very pretty! I love to find some napkins like that. The dinner looks yummy too!
I like the fanned napkins, too and also the pretty green square plates.
Very pretty!
I’m a meat & potatoes kind of gal myself. I love the plates. I am having to limit myself on buying plates as well. I’m running out of room, plus I don’t have the money. So I have limited myself to buying clearance or thrift stores now. But it is so hard to resist. There are some fabulous plates out there.
Wonderful table setting! I would eat in delight. Have a great weekend, Ellen π
I enjoy the details of your table setting. The touches of green, the patterned napkin with the fanfold, the combination of plates…all contribute to a welcoming table. The menu is delectable as well.
I like the fan idea – very nice.
Yummy and Pretty! We ahve used the fan idea and it is one our little ones like to help with. It all looks heavenly!
Enjoy a wonderful week end!
Ellen,
You have a smart idea there limiting your dish buying! I have all my things stacked in my den until I find the perfect cabinet!! My daughter said it looks like an antique store!! I just hope it doesn’t start to smell like one!! π LOL!!
I like your dishes a lot and I too am trying to learn the art of fancy napkin arrangements. I googled a great sight but can’t remember the name, but I just googled “napkin folding” Ha Ha!!
Your menu sounded wonderful. BTW, what is Persian dressing??
xoxo
