1 I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: 2preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. 3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. 5As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

Did you take that photo with your new camera? Great macro shot!
Ellen, fantastic macro shot of the blossoms. Those verses are so timely for where we are at aren’t they? Sometimes I just can’t believe how current the Bible is for today. . .amazing.
These are amazing verses. The third one particularly strikes me as I believe that we’ve already entered into that time when people find teachers who preach what they want to hear.
Blessings Ellen…I waited until today so I could soak in both your WFW & ABC…trying to remember who does both!!! But I knew you did…because
your photos impress me every time. And this is no exception.
This CLOSE up of new growth just budding forth…awesome…amazing shot!
And then the verse you chose…has so much to tells us & warns us & KEEP us on guard in every season. Are we watching? Are we staying alert? Are we in His Presence? Are we listening? Are we enduring sound teaching? Are we sober minded? Are we seeking just what pleases us?
or are we wandering off, turning away? WOW!!! Jam packed these 5!
God’s got my attention & brought me right back to v.5 of being His witness. We may not have the gift of an evangelist but He tells us to do the work of an evangelist not be one…and fulfill OUR MINISTRY…which is our earthly purpose… as we endure suffering…so I guess that’s the hardship of not following the world but purposing to follow only the Truth!!! Thanks Ellen…good WORD to fill my whole week not just Wed.!
Hope you enjoyed a Wonderful WFW & now on to ABC!
I want to be ready in season and out!… A time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching…and will turn away from listening to the truth…those are sober statements.

“for the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching”
kind of scary…seeing that around my part of the world already….but He has not given us a spirit of fear, but a sound mind..
for all that we take in from this world and churches…Father help us to have Your wisdom, to allow You to filter it all.
