ABC’s of the Word ~ Iniquity

Isaiah 53:6 (English Standard Version)

 All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned—every one—to his own way;
and the LORD has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.

  1. Hi Ellen,

    I stop by and visit your site on and off and noticed the post about your mom’s unfortunate fall. I am glad that she is doing well. It made me laugh when you wrote that she asked the EMT to just put a bandage on. Sounds just like what our Russian moms would say.

    Please pass on my wishes for a HAPPY HAPPY Birthday to your mom and let her know that she is thought of often!!!!

    Also please pass on my hello to your dad and the rest of the family.

    Have a great Easter!!!!

    George

  2. Hmmm, I”m doing a Beth Moore study on Esther. We just talked about how God turns the tables in our lives. “We have turned and gone our own way”….and He is the One who turns our lives around…does the impossible for us. Wonderful. Blessings of all His best for your NW visit!

  3. Oh how I love this verse!!! I’m often amazed at how like sheep we truly are! Thankfully we have the Best Shepherd to lead us :).

    Safe travels Ellen B. and it’ll be interesting to see if you CAN stay away from your computer…LOL!

    xoxo Cori G.

  4. The perfect verse to remind us what Christ has done for us this week. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Cor 5:21)

  5. That God forgives iniquity (willful sin), by paying for it Himself at such high cost, is testimony to the magnificent heart of God toward us and the length to which He has gone to restore us to Himself. Thank you for the verses from Isaiah.
