James 1:22-24 (English Standard Version)
22But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. 24For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like.

Nice.
Wonderful. I was STUNNED to see your name first. 🙂 I keep thinking about you and hoping your week is wonderous.
Amen to that Ellen B., We need to put our money where our mouth is or our actions where our tongues wag.
Hope you have a lovely day! I’m going to have to check back on your other post when I get to work. My puppies are antsy for attention.

Oh that is a great combination of verse and photo!! Amen.
I love that verse and the reminder that we are not only to listen to His Word but do it.
Beautiful lavender and doing has always come easier for me than sitting at his feet and listening. I am a Martha for sure!
That is one of my very favorite verses. Lovely picture, too.
Gorgeous picture and fits perfectly with the beautiful scripture!
Oh, I absolutely love lavender! I had 8 plants in one of my flower beds, but one by one last year they all died in the drought. We couldn’t water anything for months! I must find some more this year.
WOW….that is an awesome picture, did you take this?
And then….fabulous scripture Sister, spot on!
That picture is so beautiful!! The verse a little harder for me to hear on this very tough day for me…but I thank you for sharing because I know God wanted to remind me of this.
In His Graces~Pamela
As always….a beautiful picture with a very inspirational reminder for your verse.
What an elegant photo to serve as a visual for your verse. I appreciate the fact that “doers” is an active verb, and “hearers” a passive one.
lovely visual!
I love the photo and the verse together. Beautiful.
Hi Ellen,
Love the photo!!! And the verse is simply the perfect verse to go with the picture. Where was the shot taken?
Oh boy, I am going to have SO MUCH fun catching up with your blog.
